Initial thoughts were - relief (this is exciting, my dick works). But the first handful of erections after surgery were colored for me by the still-swollen sac, the unfamiliar fullness/feelings in different areas (perineum etc) and a bit of a blur due to all the newness of fishing around trying to understand, operate, and break-in my new parts. Also, I was getting myself hard to rehab my dick after a major traumatic event, surgery, so on the whole it just wasn't the sexiest handful of erections ever.

Having said that:

- Harder than my best hardest days ever, whether organic dick, pills, or injections + pills. Unbelievably harder. And, because you're asking about the early going, the first erections...a bit sore, a bit less sensitive, and still...just exciting as hell. But different. And very damn excitinig.

- The way it looked (still looks) - less symmetrically circular (girth) and now slightly flattened top to bottom. Slightly laterally oval, if that makes sense.

- Firmness - as detailed elsewhere and by nearly everyone implanted, it's just about impossible to describe how damn hard your dick can actually get. It was almost kind of disarming at first. Imagine the hardest most unyielding thing on your body. Like a long bone. Your femur. Think of that and you're in the ballpark. Just stupidly iron-girder hard.

I have a “start cycling early” doctor.

Ergo my first implant derived erection was about day 3 or 4.

I thought it sucked. I had lost 2” in length and over an inch in girth. My nutsack and pubic bone area above my cock were swollen as hell. It didn’t really hurt bad but yeah, everything was sore and no, nothing looked right.

I spent 23 yrs in Army so I put on a brave soldier face and said “everything’s okay” while internally I wondered if I had massively fucked up.

I’m not sure I can tell you the exact moment everything fell into place, the stars aligned, and I understood everything was perfect. Maybe better than perfect. It was maybe 6 or 8 months after surgery. I had taken a shower. I pumped it up (cycled) just to enjoy the feel of having a boner. I ended up with a great, close to 45 degree angle. I got out of shower and saw reflection in mirror. And I realized it looked bigger, better, more powerful than when I was 18.

So initially things sucked. Do what the doc says, cycle faithfully…..the implant road is A-OK. Just don’t expect instant gratification.

Unlike Txagq8, my gratification was instant (well, at least after the swelling and tenderness went down).

I still could get firm erections with pills and massive stimulation, so I had not atrophy of penile tissues. My post-op erection was every bit as long as before implant. Maybe a tiny bit less, but after 4 years now, I am a tiny bit longer. I did not have the foresight to measure girth, sadly. I think I am as girthy, but my cross-section is definitely more oval than the round shape I had before.

When I was in my late teens, I would get morning erections that were massively rigid. Over the decades the erection became softer, even at the best. My implant provides just as rigid as my youthful erections. When I grab my penis, it is like like grabbing a flesh-covered iron bar.

Having done a lot of research, I knew what to expect. My implant has exceeded my expectations.

Sorry, but I think you ask the wrong question.
The first erection with an implant has not much to do with the end result for most people.
The first erection will be uncomfortable at best and painful at worst.
It won't even be that firm to be honest, since most of us won't be able to inflate fully at that time.

I remember very well my first intercourse, at about three weeks after surgery.
I didn't think my implant was super hard. Hard, but not harder than my pre-implant viagra dick. On the other hand, I did some 20 pumps at that time and now I do around 50. That produces a very different hardness.
I had some soreness in the shaft and some pain in my "ass" (perineum).
My sensitivity was a bit less than pre-surgery. Still swollen etc.
I also remember I kept waiting for my dick to go soft. I touched it several times during intercourse and every time I thought "shit, it is still hard. Unbelievable".

But wait a few months, even a year, and we're at another planet.
The feeling is great. Not necessarily identical as the natural erection, net necessarily even as good. But it doesn't matter. Memories of the exact feeling of a natural erection fades quickly. This is what I have now and it is great. It feels fantastic and sex is vey, very pleasurable. I keep saying to myself and sometimes my wife, that it is unbelievable how this thing can work so great, feel so great. Feel so natural. And she doesn't feel any difference either. Just that it is a bit harder than a natural dick. But that can be adjusted to whatever level we prefer. Now we happen to prefer super hard both of us.

The look is as many have described a bit oval compared to a natural erection. But it's just a minor issue. It still looks like a dick...

The firmness... You can choose. It is well established that a Titan will have a harder maximum hardness than an AMS. But even AMS guys claim their dicks are harder post implant than ever before. So imagine what hardness you can get from a Titan... Most people on here don't seem to inflate to the maximum. Either because their partners think it is too hard or because themselves feel it is not as pleasurable as when holding back a bit. I tend to inflate very, very close to maximum for penetrative sex. I prefer that feeling and so does my wife. But individual preference is one thing - what matters is that you will have the choice. Softer than natural, equally hard, a bit harder, or a lot harder. You choose.

And most of all, the best thing is the feeling of freedom. You inflate your dick and then you are free to do whatever you want for as long as you want. The focus shifts from getting and/or maintaining your erection to enjoying sex. Your dick won't go soft.

Great post merrix, have to agree.
My first erection after implant hurt. First sex felt good, until we were done, and I hurt like crazy.
Six months down the road everything was healed, I learned how to inflate and deflate comfortably, and pain was gone after sex. An implant is an amazing thing to regain your erections, but it's definitely not an overnight process.
Most important is to read up what guys think of them, how it changed their life and boosted egos. I didn't have that knowledge before my implant unfortunately, but now I know.

That's entirely relatable and a very good explanation.

You got me thinking about whenever that day was for me, too, because I definitely at some juncture had that similar realization. Much earlier, probably more like month 3-4 range, but there was a day/week in there that I remember cycling up and at some point just not being aware at all of how much time I had been inflated, there was no discomfort, and I was suddenly more conscious of how good my dick looked inflated and how good it felt (even without touching it).

And the unburdening of the mental part of "getting hard" and "staying hard" was *poof* just fucking gone. And I started to understand the crazy power of having lost that mental anchor or worry. Confidence and swagger and fun followed quickly.
