This trip was my first since getting the implant, and it set off their alarm in both airports.

I didn't think the implant had enough metal parts to trigger the alarm.

The walk through magnetometer will not pick up the implant but the full body scanner will. I use Pre-check so rarely use the scanner, but when I do it flags the implant every time.

Last trip I kept my Coloplast card in my hand as I went through the scanners. Showed it to the agent as I stepped in. Out of 6 scans, I only got questioned twice. No pat downs but one did feel around my left shoulder for some reason.
The bad about that trip is I had to tell oldest son about my implant since we were flying together out of Heathrow, which was supposed to be the tightest security ever.

If I’m ever questioned at TSA I’m opening my pants and showing my dick to all the agents. I’m a proud peacock with a larger than I’ve ever had dick so I’m not shy.

I am not implanted but have enormous testicles and scrotum. On occasion my junk sets off the scanner and I get a quick pat down, always respectful.

Odd. I fly almost weekly and in almost 3 years with IPP I've been questioned directly only once. This was in Germany earlier this summer. Walked through the scanner where you stop and raise your arms up. The woman asked if I have a medical device, I said yes, they then hand wand scanned me and quickly sent me on my way. There was an image on a screen of my body and you could clearly see the reservoir outlined in color. No other outline or colors around my penis.

I wonder if the scanner picked up the saline? Were you completely deflated? Your experience added to by my speculation suggests asking men experiencing TSA scrutiny what degree of inflation/deflation they were at the time.

My experience this weekend was that a yellow square appeared over my groin and another over the reservoir. I was completely deflated. My understanding is that the new generation full body scanners will pick up the implant. Whether it's the device or the saline I don't know., but it's all quite amusing.

I get the special search every time. I am going to get TSA pre-check. Its always funny to watch their expressions becomes awkward, but I'd prefer not to have this happen every time. small price to pay, honestly.
