Those 2 things in combo were a done deal. I was also in my 20s then and I liked the risk/reward of getting an implant so I can have sex again in my prime (I still feel in my prime in my 30s).

That's what did it to me. Would suck to be in the moment with some girl but you can't do anything about it unless you took your dick medicine before. That pretty much made an implant required for me, cause I'm an idiot will pills and was overdosing with like 10 over a few hours just to make sure they work, lol. Implant solves that and a shit ton of other anxieties.

The real, final straw that sent me over the edge was talking at length about sex with my family practice doctor.

Yeah, sure, guys talk about sex with their buddies but you never know how much is fiction and bullshit vs reality.

So I decided to discuss sex in detail with my doc. What I was experiencing, what I’d always experienced, was substandard. Normal men with normal erectile systems are able to maintain erections long enough to ejaculate. Having a hard dick helps provide the stimulation one needs to ejaculate.

My LGX, despite of a bit of loss in girth, has been a Godsend.

After cancer treatment and trying all the other methods of dealing with the ED that followed, I realized that it was a basic decision. Do I ever want to have sex again or not? Also, I didn't want to wait years and my doctor warned of waiting too long and losing length. Ultrasound showed severe venous leak from the cancer damage and my doctor said it was not likely to get better-EVER. Glad I did it. This thing works great and now I'm 3 months in and most times I can forget about having an implant. It's nice to know for 100% certain that I can have an erection any time my wife or I want one. No other treatment for ED can give you that. No brainer for me.

Seems we all share similar stories.

I was thinking about this after I replied earlier…if my car has a flat, I get it fixed.if I have a broken arm, I get it fixed. If I have cataracts, I get it fixed, if my heart needs a stint, I get it done…so why are men so f* worried about getting their dicks fixed when its not working?

I’m a little over a year with my implant. Yes, my dick is fixed…more so, my head is fixed…physical is one element the head thing is the real game changer…recently my gf rolled over after a long session, said she was tired.I said let’s go again!

I am 77 years old, can't take pills for medical reasons and I'm using Tri-mix with various degrees of success. It is bad enough to have to plan your times for sex, but to have an injection failure in addition to that is really frustrating for both of us.

I got tired of going to uro's who didn't seem to care or just don't know their field very well, so I decided to go to a uro who is about an hour from where I live, specializes in men's reproductive health and does 4 implants a week at a local university hospital. I felt I could establish myself with a top-notch doctor specializing in men's reproductive health then if I ever felt I wanted an implant I was already a patient of this doctor.

We covered some overactive bladder issues I have been plagued with for a year or so and a new prescription for Tri-mix, but when that was done he jumped into the benefits of an implant. He started by saying it is really an easy operation, I put two silicon tubes in your penis, a squeeze pump in your scrotum and a reservoir in your belly, it is an outpatient procedure and it only takes 45 minutes. All your feelings remain the same for you and your partner and the comment I hear the most is "I wish I had done this sooner."

That sounds all well and good...BUT it is MY PECKER and I can't convince myself to go ahead with it. He gave me a Coloplast Titan brochure, he said you and your wife go over this, do as much research as you are comfortable with, call one or both of these patients of mine who have volunteered to answer questions for guys, and we will have a tele-conference a month from now, I want you to have your wife present so you can both ask any questions you want.

Walking past my roomates bedroom and heard him with his GF. I was obsessed with my health at thr time and he was a slob so that sealed the deal for me. Never had a good erection for sex so the decision was easy.

The moment I found out I was eligible to get an implant, my decision was made. The only reason it took 14 months to get the operation was that I wanted be certain I had the right surgeon.

Having had erectile difficulties for decades and at the last, erections that would not endure long enough for vaginal penetration (much less partner satisfaction), I decided to go from oral medications straight to an implant. I skipped constriction rings, vacuum erection devices (VED), urethral suppositories and injections as unsatisfactory for any number or reasons.

Many men have moments (or days or a couple of weeks) of "buyer's remorse" (The "what the f*** did I DO to myself period). I had not one instant of that. Having done research and gone ahead with care I KNEW I was making the right choice.

The one thing: If the implant failed, I would be losing next to NOTHING in the way of sexual satisfaction. And I had everything to gain, especially partner satisfaction. (Note: I had become fairly skilled at cunnilingus with fellatio being an adequate return of the favor. Oral sex for both partners is satisfactory for many women, but still not genuinie coitus, nor is fellatio from her.)

The anxiety of not being able to perform was overwhelming.

Trimix worked periodically.

I started augmenting Cialis with the trimix. Sounds okay until I was taking so much Cialis
passed out during sex due to low blood pressure.

Thought I was having a heart attack.

I spoke with three guys who had implants and they were all happy. I had sex with one guy and after we had sex, he told me he had an implant. I didn't know the difference.

After that I did plenty of investigation but made up my mind.

Even more interesting (to me) was that I could get a limp erection (mostly by the vacuum provided by her mouth) during fellatio.

My biggest problem with coitus (other than the limited time/duration of my erections) during the middle stages of ED was being too limp to penetrate. Once I got into a vagina, I could often stay in her long enough for me to orgasm. Penetration into her mouth presented no difficulty at all, she just opens up. Penetration into a vagina was a challenge.
