AMS CX 18 w/1.5 RTEs

5/12/22

Had severe PD @ 75 degrees curvature w/extensive scarring/fibrosis.

Used Trimix injections for @ 6 years prior to implant. They worked until the PD curvature made the erection practically useless. I work in bedside medical care and used flawless injection technique…maybe I was just one of those guys susceptible to developing PD from the trimix ingredients. Hindsight being 20/20 I would not have wasted those 6 years ****ing around with the shots and just gone straight to implant surgery when the oral meds stopped working. Would have saved approximately 1-1.5 inches of length and 1/2 an inch of girth. I’m satisfied so far with the implant and postop recovery phase. Postop day 12 and I realistically am measuring at 5.1 inches length and 5.0 inches circumference at mid-shaft. Oh, and the curvature is back down to approximately 10 degrees curvature, which is basically what I had naturally since puberty. Main reason my surgeon and I chose the CX…dealing with the scar tissue and excessive curvature…we felt like the CX would get the best combination of straightening out the curve without sacrificing greater loss of length. A bit shorter, but straighter and very rigid on demand works well for my situation…YMMV, ha!

Sorry for the off topic post. I've often wondered if/why for a man in your situation. After getting the peyronies under control. If there was a possibility to access the perineum & add some RTE's. I'm not sure of the max RTE length stack but I think 3cm's is fairly common. By my logic you could potentially pick up 1.5cm (.6"). I know its not much but since the CX expands in length. Starting out at a lower number of pumps you shouldn't be in discomfort. Let the CX do its job.
I bring this up cause I've seen a YouTube video on Boston Boston Scientific's own YouTube feed. In the video it is 3 reasonable well know implant surgeons adressing a conference to othe surgeons. There is a brief exchange dealing with stretching the tunica. (For lack of a better description). The panel does not elaborate but they do not deny that it is possible. I have met with 1 of the panel members. As my appointment was ending he said (quickly) that if I follow his aftercare regiment I should see a 2" gain over my ED shrunken stretch test. Btw, I have a landmark on my belly that my youthful erection used to reach. If his claim is true, I would reach that spot.

@Gt1956

Interesting thought!

I’ll have to run down that YouTube video you mentioned and follow up on that.

My surgeon, Dr. Michael Pryor in Spartanburg did coauthor a paper in around 2016 addressing postop length/patient satisfaction. Basically if I remember correctly the suggestion was fairly aggressive and disciplined cycling protocols for the first 12-24 months postop. I’ll check back the Perito MTP tissue modeling techniques too, but damn that looks really intense in the video clip, haha!

Shalom and many Blessings from Above!

If you do watch the video. Do yourself a big favor. Use good headphones & back the video up to repeat the comment several times. Watch their faces & reactions. Btw, my humble opinion. Since this was at a Boston Scientific sponsored seminar. On the BS YouTube feed & they left the comment in the video. I can only come to the conclusion that BS doesn't disagree with the comment.
Also, this comment is specific to the CX & LGX implants.
