hernia surgery

Postby riseagain » Fri Mar 04, 2022 5:51 am

I'm hoping to get the IPP next month. I had bi-lateral hernia surgey about 18 months ago. Dr. said it should be ok. Has anyone had this issue.

It should be ok, i had a double hernia surgery before mine. Had to wait 12weeks. I've had 5 all together, he just had to put the reservoir up higher by my hip and no problems as of yet. Only thing is it lays above my large intestine and when i have to relieve myself or have gas it lets me know.

I also had inguinal hernia surgeries, with a mesh on the left side. Dr. put the reservoir also a little higher (on the left) to keep away from the mesh. That decision was discussed with him, as I might still need a mesh on the right side in future. I hope not.

It feels like gas pain underneath it. Alot of times i just gently use my fingers all around the area to make gas or feces get moving and it goes away. dont think i spelled that rt,lol.

My only issue with hernias. Was doc ruptured the saline bag whe he fixed the hernia. Urologist had to replace my implant after it.
18 cm plus 1 rte titan installed March 2019. Revision March 2020 by Dr. Andrew Todd, Richmond KY. He replaced the titan with an AMS 700 LGX 18 cm cylinder plus 2 rte for 20 cm total length.
