Yay! Don’t forget to keep the journal up-to-date! Have a fast recovery mate, your ED is over!
26yo from Italy. Psychogenic ed since dec 2019, got worse in Jan 2021. On Cialis 5mg every 24hrs, it works! But masturbation and sex bring me a lot of anxiety. On talk-therapy.
Update: diagnosed with slight Peyronie’s, investigating more on that

Samuele wrote:Hi friends, i'm 24 y/o from Roma, Italy, and finally 8 october i recive my ams implant cause VL. I'm happy for that, i'm just worried about lifespan of implant. I've read very bad story in this forum about lifespan. How it's possible that one piece should been implanted in the body was so fragile.

When a ship is first built and launched, it us usually taken on a "shakedown cruise" so the crew can find any defects in the engines or other systems. So it is with an implant. A ship that gets through its shakedown cruise with no trouble is likely to have no trouble for a very long time.

Any mechanical device will have some failures.

With most of these devices, a failure of the surgery procedure will be known in a few weeks. If your implant is good after that, expect a low rate of problems from the surgery.

If your implant is working well after some months of use, you can expect very few problems for several years.

Most of the failures are known in a short time. Once that time is past, very few failures occur, so the implant lifespan is normal (about 10 years, I think, and as the devices are improved, that expectation is getting longer).

So, once you get past the those early weeks, do not worry. Just enjoy.

Those first two or three days can be rough. But, keep this in mind, that day by day, you will feel better and better and more excited about your new superpowers. Hang in there bud.

Yes, it hurts. And my penis looked even worse than it felt. It looked like a road-killed toad.

I stayed in bed for a week (staying horizontal helps keep the swelling down) and took it easy for three weeks (I had plenty of leave time available). I could have gone back to work in one week, but decided to make every possible choice that would speed my recovery - but not rush the recovery.

Keep the surgical wound clean and antiseptic.

I had done a LOT of research before the surgery and had not one moment of doubt afterwards. Many men have a period of "What did I do to myself?!?!?!" and wonder if the outcome will be worth it. Not me. And almost every man comes through that doubt with no regrets.
