All that sounds terrific thus far. I can’t believe the absence of bruising.

I had zero swelling in testicles as well.

Please dont rush your recovery. Attempting to have sex while stitches are still in sounds risky. Dr. Eid recommends 3 weeks. Also, hot baths and ice are your friends!

Thanks all, I hear you. I’ve just had no swelling or bruising. None. I was letting pain be my guide and since I’ve had none I didn’t see an issue. Regardless, I agree and don’t plan on g further activities for the time being.

Best,
Maxx

Stitches out today. Nurse says the scar looked amazing and the surgeon did a great job. I asked about the penis and she that looks amazing too, can I hop on? That last sentence only happened in my own head of course. :)

2 week Mark update:
- cycling 2x per day up to 30 min per.
- Zero bruising, swelling
- no pain, but fairly consistent discomfort that I’m making my peace with
- constant feeling of having an erection is ever present and my biggest annoyance
- firmer underwear is crucial to comfort.
- still can’t sit down on any firm surface for more than 2 minutes.
- no sexual activities outside of my 1 transgression that you all responded and scared the crap out of me. I was being foolish and I thank you for snapping me back to my senses.

2 questions:
- other than the arbitrary 3 weeks, which is my plan, what is the sign that gives you the go ahead? I won’t be seeing the dr again for his approval.
- when did you all start sitting down?

Best,
M

congrats BuffaloMaxx, glad to hear you can be back in action in some time!
may I ask why you won't be meeting again with the doctor to get the final go-ahead?

I live in Boston and I traveled to NYC to go see Dr. Eid. At this point I have no questions and I don’t see any reason to travel for him to look at me for 3 min and tell me that everything looks great. Now if I something crops up or feels off I wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

The thing that sucks is my local dick dr, Dr Morgantaler, just retired down to Florida in February. He was awesome. One of the leading guys in TRT and used to do a lot of implants, but shifted away from surgery. I need to find a new local guy, but shockingly there isn’t a strong contender in the field around here.

Cleared 3 weeks post-op and hit a big milestone a couple of nights ago. Had sex. :) She did a slow cowgirl ride. The only pain I experienced was if she drove at a certain angle. I’ve lost some sensitivity for sure, will that come back?

Otherwise, I’m ecstatic with this whole process. It really went smoother and faster than I ever imagined. Pre-surgery I didn’t expect I’d be at this point until 2 months. Even the first week, I tight it was going to take much longer and feared it would always feel like an alien appendage.

This board has been amazing. Not only did it give me the information and shared experiences to give me the courage to get the surgery, it also pointed me to DR. Eid. He did an incredible job. I had to change insurance plans last year so I was covered, but it was well worth it.

Cheers

5 weeks post op and final update

Physically everything has been great. Everything feels normal, which I wasn’t sure was going to happen. Having lots of sex with only occasional pain If the angle is wrong. I can see it starting to soften and lay a tad more natural. Probably a few more weeks before it will fully lay down. Physically, I’m leaps and bounds ahead of where I thought be, but mentally way behind. While I do have hope now, which is more than I’ve had in awhile, I was hoping I’d feel much better about myself at this point. Don’t get me wrong, I do feel better, just not that much. I realize it’s going to take longer than 5 weeks to undo the past years of damage to my psyche, but was hoping for more an initial burst to kick things off.

Cheers and thanks for reading

great story buffalo max.

just a few thoughts regarding:
I was hoping I’d feel much better about myself at this point. Don’t get me wrong, I do feel better, just not that much. I realize it’s going to take longer than 5 weeks to undo the past years of damage to my psyche,

the years of psyche damage from ED are a terrible thing for any man. Now, you are "free". Free from feeling like an inadequate impotent man. So, now the usual issues of life and relationships can occupy your thoughts; and, because life and relationships are complex, those isues sometimes will bring you down.

But, man, you are cured of ED. You are free from sexual inadequacy. And now you are yourself again.

I think your self esteem will get better after a few successful sex sessions. If not, consider pushing your testostorone levels higher or maybe start a vigorous exercise program.

As an implant surgeon once told me " you get the implant for yourself...NOT for your wife, NOT to save a bad relationship"
"Strive to find the best surgeon--experience really matters"

Congratulations Buffalo
Good words from Tangerine, sometimes it’s easier to stay with what you are used to then make and complete the change, you now must meet the mental challenge, I have joined a gym and go often. I think you would benefit. Putting plastic parts in your body was the easy part now put some youth and self love in your head, then share that with your family .
Hugs bro
