My implant lasted all of 13 months. I think mine was surgical. I could feel tubing in my groin. When inflated it would get hard. It was like a loop under skin. Surgeon discounted it. He knew what it was. I think many revision are surgical errors. IMHO. I am 2 weeks post op.

Shit, I can feel the same. I feel the tubings, especially if I'm laid.
Also, there's a tubing in my groin that goes up to the reservoir. It's easily detectable.

I had a top surgeon and Coloplast. It lasted less than 2 years. Cracked tubing. Second one is 16 months and still working, but I hate to think it could fail in less than 5 years. I use it a lot though, so maybe 15 years is only for guys who never pump it up or do serious physical exercise. I sure hope not.

A lot of guys here had revisions after 2 or 3 years.
Why that? Bad surgeon and bad implant placement or the estimation of 10~15 years is a lie?

Could that be because some guys have had problems with their implants, then found this forum and posted here for advice?

My AMS CX lasted 6 years almost to the day before developing an aneurysm at the base. While still useable the enlarged weakened area at the base is uncomfortable and Dr Kramer said it will fail at some point soon so why not replace it now. I agreed as I am healthy and about to retire so while still working and have time off will get a revision. Dr Kramer feels there is a low risk of infection with him and a much easier recuperation after surgery which is hard to believe since my first surgery was relatively pain-free and I was able to use it in a couple of weeks with his permission. Scheduled for revision with Dr Kramer on Monday May 3. Hoping this one is as great as the first. Not knowing the outcome makes me a bit anxious but no question at this point at least I have no regrets as the implant brought back sex with my wife frankly better than when first married as no issues with erections which I had issues with since an accident and pelvic injury in my youth. Onward and upward pun intended.

After reading everything.... maybe a malleable implant is the right choice.

Manufactor say it last s 10-15years or longer, in reality it s 1-5years...

That is an implant you might want to stay away from. Hard to hide, and it’s always implanted on the cylinders. Increased chance of erosion, adhesions. Also girth and length my suffer.

I don't think this is the only reason. These guys that I'm talking about are regular members and stated the revisions in their signatures. They aren't implanted guys joining the forum just to ask for advice about their revisions.

Many thousands of implants done per year. Don't base your expectations totally on what you see here. In the age of the internet. The first thing a guy does if he has a question is to search the internet. There are very few places to get info if you've had trouble. FT is a great place but isn't truely representive of the implanted population.
If the revision rate was as high as a person might think based upon reading FT. I think the insurance companies would demand changes. At least in America, most implant surgeries are paid thru insurance. Insurance drives the meds that I can get. I'm sure they can influence the implant market.

Have prostrate surgery, peyronies, and whatever else kills your dick means nothing. Unless you have Medicare, implants are very hard to get approved. Even when approved they balk or paying . They can not be a barometer by any means. However, if I wanted sex change operation, no problem.

For my employee funded insurance plan thru Blue Cross Blue Shield, Peyronie's Disease is one of the only diagnosis codes to guarantee a virtually no questions asked approval. With my UroLift procedure for LUTS due to BPH, it took three appeals and a lot of doubt that it would ever be approved before they agreed to the procedure. With my IPP surgery, it was a slam-dunk on the first submission.
