So let me rephrase my original question. IRREGARDLESS of which INFLATABLE implant you might have, what percentage of inflation do you you prefer, and what level does your partner prefer?
Irregardless? No, it’s not a word
Various Internet Sources wrote:Although editors purge irregardless from most published writing, the term is alive and well in spoken English and is recorded in most dictionaries. Those who use it may do so to add emphasis.
The bottom line is that irregardless is indeed a word, albeit a clunky one.
So, the suffix -less is redundant to the prefix ir- and together create a word with an embedded double negative that is effective as if it were a single negation of the root word, "regard".
This may be similar to "inflammable" and "flammable" or the double-negative word "non-inflammable" which, unlike irregardless, does not self-cancel.
Policing grammar and spelling is a minefield. Best left to instances where the writer's meaning is made unclear (in my opinion, non-humble/inhumble/irhumble as it is).

Now, who wants to take on the use of the word "impact" instead of "affect" (and the unrelated extension, the debate between "affect" and "effect")?

p.s. Lest anyone get their hackles up, keep in mind that this post is intended to be light-hearted and a seriously non-inflammatory poke at .... anyone. That is, not to be taken seriously or personally.
