The classic picture of a man in mid-life crisis (often accompanied by some degree of E.D.) is that he will go out and buy a sports car or a muscle car to bolster his self-image.
I like to point out that a sports car has a price tag and a service life about equivalent to a penile implant.

But the implant can be partially (or even completely) paid by insurance and benefits both the man and his partner(s) a lot more than a fancy car (in my opinion). And cars seem to have gone up in price since I first made that observation while implants seem to have gone down in price a little. I think I made a GREAT bargain in my choice to have an implant and keep my 14 (now 16) year old car.
