Does anyone know hotels I'm Mid Town NYC with a freezer in the room. I was planning on bringing gel packs but I cannot seem to find a hotel with a freezer

Who is doing your surgery? I know Manhattan very well… if your doctor is midtown, don’t feel obligated to just stay in town… It’s massive but it’s really not hard to get around…

I’m also looking for a decent hotel close to Dr. EID as I will be there from January 8 to about the 13th is my guess. Any recommendations would be great for reasonably priced hotels.

I recommend Affinity Gardens which is across the street from surgery center. I was there in Feb 2015. Full kitchen, refrigerator, freezer, bath and large living room. Also close to CVS and food shops. It’s 6blocks from Dr Eids office.

I am retired now but traveled to NYC for business a couple times a year up until a few years ago. I often stayed in apartments for a lot less money than hotel rooms. You might try VRBO or AirBnB. That way you'd have a freezer and probably more comfortable surroundings. There are listings all over the city so you can find a convenient locations using search words. The downside would be if you want room service, but if you stock up on some food the day before your surgery you should be in good shape. I guess one other consideration is an elevator. You may not feel like climbing steps right away.
