Both manufacturers of implant (used in the United States of America) have employees whose primary (or sole) function is to communicate with implantees and potential implantees. They answer give advice, answer questions, help implantees get accustomed to the devices. They are a vital element and take a lot of the load from surgeons and the medical staff.
Your surgeon should have a phone number and have given it to you in the patient information packet.
