Third implant

Postby RayChez » Mon Mar 25, 2019 12:53 am

Have had two revisions after my first implant. This was suppose to be a valve change only, but I notice they gave me a complete revision. Have not seen the surgeon since the surgery was done, so I do not know what actually was the problem. I was almost 99% sure it was the pump, but they must have found another problem. Good thing is that there is very little pain. Will report what happened in two weeks when I got an appointment with the doctor.
Some swelling on the scrotum, and bruising. Being applying ice packs and it seems like everything is going well.

revision Dec 2016. 2ND implant 21CM, 1rte AMS 700 LGX MS pump

When my implant stopped working (after 12 years!), my urologist told me it was better to replace the whole thing than to try to work at figuring out what went wrong and trying to "repair" it. I have been very happy with his decision.

I too am on my third implant, although in a shorter period of time. Botched implant, "flat tire", whatever. I'm "up and running" and living my "golden years" in a manner I could never have dreamed (today was my "Asian Ferrari").......good luck man!

Fourth day post implant and there is very little pain, the swelling has gone down and the whole thing is starting to look normal again. My next appointment is in two weeks and I can hardly wait to ask the surgeon why he did not just replace the pump as planned. OH Well! I Got a new toy. Looks huge, but it is probably because of some swelling.
You are not going to believe this, but the most discomfort was the constipation for three days. Once that was solved it seemed like everything was healing up fast.
I will keep you guys updated as I get the information from the doctors.

I have not gone back to see the surgeon to ask questions. I thought I was just going to get a pump change. Hope it is the LGX, I was really happy with it. I have an appointment to see the doctor April 9, 19.

Will report after the appointment. I was an out patient and I was a little groggy after the operation.

I wonder if docs just hate doing splices on the tubing?
If they replace the pump and implants as a unit, they only make one tubing splice.
It probably also helps to get paid more?

could be Tomas,
I convince dr. Kata to only move my pump and leave the rest alone. He seemed rather disappointed that he couldn't do the whole thing. I would have let him but have nightmares about waking up and finding what could have happened. Slice and dice Stitch & Stitch

I think that 12 years of guaranteed sex is a pretty good deal... I would be up for a new one then (and the revised implant will almost always be bigger... ;)
