Is My Mix Going Bad, Or Am I More Tolerant?

I went from a bimix that wasn't working well, to a TriMix (10/30/1) several months ago. The first time I tried the Trimix, it hurt a fair amount, and it felt like my penis weighed 10 pounds (injecting 20). I tried less, but it wasn't effective.

Then I tried doing 10 of the trimix, and 50 of the bimix, and it worked fairly well at first. Gradually, it became less effective. Last night, I used 30 of the trimix - the erection before orgasm was 3/4. The erection after orgasm was fully rigid.

Is it possible that the mix has lost its effectiveness while sitting in my refrigerator? Is it possible I am building a tolerance to the drug in the trimix?

The big gun of tri-mix, which is alprostadil, will lose it's effectiveness when refrigerated after about 3 days. My experience has been that the alprostadil will stay effective, when well frozen, for 6+ months. My prescription label says 45 days when frozen, 3 days refrigerated. That's just my experience with my meds (mono-mix which is just alprostadil and saline) and my pharmacy. It may not apply to you. Consult you doctor and/or pharmacist. My pharmacist advises he's not allowed to tell me it will last 6 months when frozen. He doesn't say it won't either.

It just depends. I have some Trimix that I have kept entirely in the refrigerator for seven months. On a scale of 1-10 I would say the effectiveness right now is a 7 or 8 -- no bad for never being frozen.

I know in my case I'm getting somewhat immune to Quad-mix. I'm using a pretty strong formula with 100 PGE and take 35 units now. I can see the possibility of it not working at all, and that presents a problem

My frozen trimix is 6 months old. I only use 1 unit. Still very effective.

The instructions with my med say to refrigerate at 36 - 42 degrees. The vile i receive is one 5ml vile - wouldn't that break if I froze it? If not - how long does it take to thaw? You really have to plan - but if freezing keeps its potency, I suppose I will have to try it.

Thanks,

I pre-filled my syringes and stored them in the freezer in a Ziploc baggie. Then, when I needed one I would take only one outta the freezer and thaw it. That way I did not have to thaw all of it and refreeze over and over again. :)

Huh?
I've been using Trimix for about 3 years and have had each vial for about 2 months in the fridge--not the freezer-- and it's worked each time.

The pharmacist label was suggesting 3 days. This study referenced below suggests a longer refrigerated life but it's still the most perishable component.
