Postby 40buickcoupe » Mon Mar 05, 2018 4:41 pm

Short story had my prostate removed 1.5 years ago and not much in the way of getting hard, doc said it may take 2 years had most nerves spared, I use a pump and can have great OJ's but its so unnatural on top of missing the foreplay with my wife so I see my dr tomorrow to talk about injections. Questions
1. Do you get as hard as using a pump?
2. How long does it last?
3. Do you feel a better sensation then with the pump?
4. Typical cost per shot?
5. Yes I'm nervous to stick my dick with a needle but want to try

I'm 63 but before surgery I was good at 3 times or more a week I do have a much younger wife that helps as well. Now seems like 1 every month because its a pain with the pump and you only have so much time and it does not put me in a good mood so loose intrest

thanks for the help

I never had much luck with the pump, so I can't compare the quality with injections.
I do think that when the injections work well they are about as hard as you'd be able to stand.

Some places I inject are absolutely painless, and other places, there is some pain.

As far as the cost goes, it varies by how much you have to inject. I'd guess worst case would be around $3 a pop for just the med. Syringes are cheap; like 13 cents each. Alcohol swabs are also cheap.

Bear in mind, the cost I quoted is probably near the most you'd pay.
For example, $122 for 10ml tri-mix divided by maybe .25ml.
That cost is from Talon mail order in Texas.

I believe I'm getting a little immune to the effects now (dammit).

wow that is really cheap, once the dr gets the right mix how do you buy from other suppliers? Do I need the script from my dr?

So you say some areas no pain and others not so much, I read on here they have a auto injector does that help with the pain?

How long does the erection last? With the dam pump you have to move fast which is a pain in the ass that is why I'm leaning to the injections

Please create a signature. It makes things much easier to answer your questions without asking a lot of questions. Here's how you do it
Click on your name in the top right corner and select "user control panel"

Then under the big letters "User Control Panel" there is a row of words... select "Profile"

Then down the left had side of the "User Control Panel" select "Edit Signature" (You might have Create Signature or something. I don't know exactly what you'll get because I already have a signature to edit)

Most guys put something like what I have, but you can put whatever you want. Here is mine -
"AMS 700 (18 + 2 rte's). Implanted March 30, 2017 by Dr. Brock of London, Ont, CANADA. Great surgeon. Went in to septic shock and had to have implant removed April 29, 2017. I'm from Belleville, Ontario, CANADA. Appt. for consult for second attempt is on November 6, 2017... I can't wait."

Don't get too carried away with the doctor like his name, address, phone number, etc (anything that looks like advertising for him).. you can certainly say Dr. Jones (great Dr.)

If you need further help, please ask, that's what I'm here for.

My typical erection last 1 to 2 hrs and is very firm. When I started I used to much. It was harder than when I was 17 and 7 inch long, lasted 4 hrs. It is trial and error to get it right.

Yeah, for most of us the meds are pretty cheap.

You take or send your script to the compounding pharmacy of your choice. Not all compounding pharmacies make the stuff. The ability to use the mail order pharmacies will depend on the regulations of your State and the certifications of the pharmacy in question.

You will need a script from your doctor.

The pain from the process of injecting varies per person but most find it very minimal to moderate. Most that experience pain from the process get used to it to the point of it being a non-issue. For me the pain does vary with location but none is intolerable.

A definite minority but a fair number of guys get pain from the meds themselves. In many but not all cases guys that experience the pain from the meds find that it diminishes after experience possibly due to acclimating to the meds or finding the perfect dosage or a combination of the two. There is a minority that just can't tolerate the meds. The culprit is usually alprostadil, used alone or as an ingredient of tri-mix. A bi-mix, which lacks the alprostadil might work in some cases.

Some guys like the auto injectors and some don't. There are pros and cons. Only you will know if they are for you. Personally I don't like them.

How long the erections last depends on several variables. You don't mention a venous leak so that encouraging. Otherwise it's still variable between people. That said, it's more often determined by dosage and strength of the mix. With experience you may learn to be able to adjust your dose for a quickie or for a marathon session. Generally I find that hardness does correspond with duration. It can also correspond with med induced pain if that's an issue for you. I can inject for an hour long erection but it won't be quite as hard or big as with a larger dose. A large dose can give a huge (for me) throbber that can cause some med ache and verge on priapism. Marathons are fun sometimes.

For me the injections are a wonderful thing.

Be sure to read as many of the older threads in the Injections section as you can tolerate. There some good information in there that can save you some grief and frustration.

Enjoy the learning experience. Try it solo a time or two or however many are necessary before bringing it to your wife. That's unless the two of you have a very relaxed open relationship and you can both go about the learning experience without being nervous but being lighthearted and able to laugh together during a blundering comedy and without too many up front expectations.

I'm new also. I was nervous as all hell thinking about the first needle plunge. When I finally got the nerve to go I was shocked at the ease of it. No pain at all, and much easier than getting blood drawn.
I've read here about the medicine pain some have but when you consider great sex versus no sex, it's a no brainer.

Let me say this - I had a lot of anxiety leading up to the injections. The discomfort is only for a few seconds, but the result is SO worth it. I am still playing with the mix dosage. Started with basic Bimix, and had to inject 50 - 70 for a good erection. I asked for the first level trimix, and experience some pain with 20 or 30. Actually, my dick felt like it weighed 50 lbs. 15 of the Trimix doesn't work well enough. My current solution is to draw up 40 of the bimix, and 10 of the trimix, so I am only getting a small dose of the alprostadil. This works really well. My next move is to ask for the strongest Bimix they have, that includes the weakest amount of the alprostadil.

I started injecting in June, and I am having the time of my life. I purchased a Fleshlight, which is the greatest invention known to man. With the injections, I can use the Fleshlight for an hour, without worry of losing an erection. I place myself in a heightened state of near-orgasm, for as long as I can. It is amazing. Whatever fear you have of the needle will quickly be forgotten when you can have fun for an extended period of time.

Just got back from the DR, he placed a order for a Keverojet kit something like that when I went to pick it up it was $580 for 2 bottles 2 shots. I did not pick it up not paying that so he said he would order the trimix the girl there told me its made here in IL and its $150 for 5 bottles which is 10 shots but she said there not sure how much I need to I come in and they inject me. Reading on here I thought it was like $2.00 a shot am I missing something?

I'd find out if Talon ships to Il?
Probably not, but I don't know why I'd say that.
$15 a shot sounds high, but some men's clinics probably charge that much.

Here's a link to Talon:
http://www.taloncompounding.com/compounding-orders.asp

Doc will have to fax them the prescription if they do business in Il;.
Good luck.
