Just Starting Out? Get A Urologist Who Knows Injections

The best advice I can offer newbies (and even some vets) is to get a urologist who is experienced in prescribing injections. When I started seeking treatment for ED in 2014 my general practitioner referred me to a female urologist. She's a wonderful professional, but it eventually became clear she had little knowledge about Trimix.

I continued to see her despite the inexperience. Thank God for this forum. I would read comments from other guys here and go back to her with suggestions. It took a couple years, but eventually the doc and I found some formulas that really worked. Her main concern was avoiding priapism. I just wanted a great erection but yeah, that priapism thing was always in the back of my mind too.

The good news is that through all the visits and trial and error with the doc I'm now having 100 percent success with injections and the quality is 8-9 on a 1-10 scale. She just wrote me a new script for some rocket fuel (100-3-30) and I think that's going to take me to the elusive 9-10 erection quality with a 100 percent success rate on each injection.

I don't mind the long journey that much because I've avoided hurting myself because of her take-it-slow approach. However, I would advise newbies to ask a new urologist about their level of experience before starting injections. With a urologist more experienced in injections I might have found a solution in just a couple months. Or I might have battled a couple episodes of priapism!

Happy injecting, guys.

You people in the US are lucky to have access to custom formulas. Here in EU you are stuck with one-mix, simple Edex or Caverject and that's it.
Uros don't even know what Trimix is... :/

Very good post cigar. Good advice. I'm glad things have worked out well for you. I'm sure other future patients of your doctor will have you to thank for training her.

Thanks Bldoink! It's funny how we can learn almost as much here as from some medical professionals!
