Three-year trimix user here. I'm think I'm headed to a place where my family doc is going to put me on the blood thinner warfarin (coumadin) for a medical issue not related to ED.
Is there anybody here co-existing with a regimen of trimix and warfarin? Injections more likely to bleed? Penis bruises more frequent?

Re: trimix & warfarin
I'm on Plavix and Pentox..2 blood thinners after a heart by-pass surgery 5 years ago..and I take Trimix..Just be careful to hold pressure on the injection site for a full 5 minutes. That has usually worked for me and prevents bruising, bleeding and scarring. I also do a daily penile pump regiment which brings fresh oxygen to the tissue which enhances healing and has been shown to reduce the risk of scarring...The most important thing I think is holding pressure on the injection site for a minimum of 5 minutes. You should fine..

Re: trimix & warfarin
I've been on warfarin long before I started using trimix. Occasionally I will get bruising, but nothing all that serious. I also usually get a sting sensation and that's when I release the fluid. Within minutes I have an erection which will last an hour plus.

Re: trimix & warfarin
I am a 77 year old man and I have been on penile injections for the past 25 years, first with a Bi Mix then to a Trimix. I recently had a stent placed in a heart artery and the Cardiologist placed me on Plavix. I asked him if I would still be able to inject myself and he said no, because of bleeding. I spoke with my urologist and asked the same question and his response was no, that I would have bleeding that I couldn't control in the core of my penis, it's not just the site of the injection going into fatty tissue, but the core that the needle enters in your penis. I read a June 28, 2017 post on your site from a man that said he applies pressure for 5 minutes and this works for him. I almost went that route but there are two other sites, if you Google Penile Injections and Plavix both sites say you can't use a penile injection while on Plavix. I urge you before taking that chance to clear it with your urologist or you may experience a huge painful bruise, the pleasure might not be worth the pain. I wonder if the June 28 post ran this by his doctor before injecting himself. I would appreciate any feedback. I am totally out of business without the injections and looking at 6 months maybe before I am off this medication.

Re: trimix & warfarin
As I said in a previous post....I am on Plavix and have been for 6 years and injecting for 5 years. I have read many an article or Q&A on sites of urologists who prescribe Trimix and they all say as long as you apply pressure for 5 minutes after the injection that should prevent bleeding and bruising if you're on thinners. I have on occasion had both occur but the bruising clears up within 4-5 days.. I did have a scare about 3 years ago with nodules in my penis, but with treatment and laying off injections a while it cleared up...When I went back to injections both of my doctors suggested I only inject once a week...which is what I've been doing with no difficulties... I guess you have to be comfortable with whatever decision you make, but I think there are a lot of guys on blood thinners and using injections with no problems. Good luck to you
