I wish I could draw blood to make sure I injected into the right spot, but Edex has the disadvantage of having a special cartridge and plunger combination that can only be pushed forward. You can't draw it back and test to see if you get a droplet of blood.

Cwatt,

I have noticed, even using very fine 30-31g needles that a tiny amount of blood just naturally moves into the bottom of the syringe when the needle is in the Corpus C thus indicating I have hit the Sweet Spot. Just insert and wait a few seconds.

No withdrawing necessary.

Can you see the bottom of a Edex syringe -- is it clear plastic?

Jim,

Yes, the cartridge is clear. I'll have to see if I can check that next time.

I've now switched to trimix, but I guess I still need work on my injection technique. While doing a practice injection on Thursday I got about an 85% erection with 20 units of trimix. I thought this was great! But then yesterday when trying to inject for sex using 22 units -- virtually nothing. Plus, I ended up with a large bruise and some puffiness near the glans. I injected on the base side of mid-shaft. I'm just wondering what I might have done to cause the bruising and puffiness since it is really not near the injection site? Was it a bad angle? There is no pain associated with it, by the way.

When that happens to me, I've hit a vein. It happens occasionally, but it's never fun. I've probably begun to inject in a similar spot on each side where I've had good luck. One time blood dripped on the floor and that wasn't nice. A friend who is a college prof suggested that I mark the spot with a magic marker. I wonder if that would work lol.

It would certainly make for a good conversation starter!
