I suffer from chronic nerve pain and muscle tightness and have tried small doses of various medications to help, to no avail.
One of the reasons I am loathe to try higher doses is the side effects they ALL have listed, impotence!
Considering I already have moderate ED that doesnt respond that well to pde5s Im not sure I want it any worse.
Having said that Im not sure if reducing the pain anxiety , nerve compression and stress with those medications- which is what causes my ED might not paradoxically help or at leats not make worse.
Anyhow I digress, I was wondering if injections, namely Invicorp , but also the aprostadil ( which I dont tolerate well) would by pass the ED causing effects of SSRIs and other nerve dampening medications.
One slight issue is that one of other medications - Amitryptyline/Nortryptyline has a potent and major drug interaction with phenylephrine, meaning I couldnt use Sudafed or other antidote to potential priapism if it happened.
Thanks.

Psych ED since forever less problems being erect alone.
3 kids. Long term partner.
CPPS pudendal neuralgia and muscle tightness in late 2023 making ED worse.
Cialis no longer works. Sildenafil 100mg with diazepam works some of the time.

This isn't your main question but I do want to make a point about phenylephrine. Sudafed, the original not Sudafed PE, does not contain phenylephrine. The fake Sudafed that they distribute as an alternative to the real thing because of the drug restrictions is Sudafed PE which does have phenylephrine. The Sudafed that is used for warding off priapism is the original Sudafed (pseudoephedrine, no phenylephrine).
Having said that, it's a shame you can't take phenylephrine. Sudafed is helpful for priapism but the real solution is injected phenylephrine.

Yes, but its only if I take one of those two tricyclic ADs for the pain, which Im not at present, not 100% sure on its effect with the others such as Pregabalin, Gabapentin, and Duloxetine.
Do you know whether or not Injects would help overcome SSRI or other nerve blocking medication?
Same goes for Diazepam.baclofen, I had to take that 5mg daily rectally for muscle tightness, but both cause ED as a side.
