Injections and Cialis together

I know that at least some people here are mixing injections with Cialis, and I want to hear from you. How common is this? I’m on 5-10 mg Cialis every day, in a second bad bout of mostly psychogenic ED in the last 10 years. Really thinking about starting injections but also don’t want to give up the Cialis, in large part due to the heart benefits (I have premature heart disease due to my high Lp(a) levels).
If the Cialis dose is kept consistent, and you dial in your injection dose, is all basically well?
Would really like to enjoy some stress-free, anxiety-free sex again. Would like to be able to be a little more acrobatic than I have been over these last 10 years.
My wife and I are both going through enough other stuff right now that being able to just have regular sex without all the baggage feels like it would be really nice.

I have been on daily 5mg Cialis since 1/2021, after my rad prostatectomy 12/2020. I started trimix 3/2024 and have been injecting multiple times per week ever since. I have not seen a problem. The Cialis helps prevent turtling. I tried going off of Cialis for a week and I had to really work urinating with clothes on.

There is NO erection with just the Cialis.

I started on pills for almost 5 years. Then switched to injections. As my ED progressed I added pills back in ( Sildinafil and then daily cialis). The pills helped the shots work better.

For me, this is the key to preventing priapism from combining the two vasodilators.

Was your ED psychogenic or due to something else? This is driving me nuts because at this point I’m basically able to get hard and masturbate without much trouble with the Cialis alone, but I seem to subconsciously freak out when I’m with my wife, and in any event I’m just not able to do as much in bed as I could years ago without losing it even at the best of times.

“Psychogenic” isn’t the whole story, it’s more like “your jalopy dick works OK so long as everything else is going well…”

Sometimes ED is sudden and total (example: severed nerves from a prostatectomy surgery) but usual it’s gradual and progressive. It’s no surprise that your dick could work fine for masturbation but not with a partner. With masturbation the focus/pleasure is entirely focused on me. But sex with partner splits the focus and pleasure. The split focus/pleasure might not be enough to keep me hard while the total focus could. But that doesn’t mean the cause the the ED is psychogenic.

My first Doppler scan was in my (implant) preop exam and was largely done for insurance justification. Prior urologists were not interested in a Doppler scan and I agree with them. It doesn’t matter what the scan shows (nothing, arterial insufficiency, venous leak, a combination) because the treatment is the same. Pills, shots, implant.

I think MANY men are hard on themselves, blaming themselves that their ED is psychogenic and if they could just change how they think or get over their anxiety their cock would be fine. But the reality is the underlying cause is organic and not in our (mental) control. We can’t think our way past venous leak.

My advice to guys struggling with ED is to efficiently work their way through the (legitimate) treatment options: pills, shots, implants. Skip gainswave, skip PRP shots, don’t waste your money on grifters. Don’t wait for treatments in development. Get back to having great sex NOW.

I've been on Trimix for the past 10+ years. Granted 2 years ago I had to step it up to Quad mix, but it works great. I've also been on 5mgs of Cialis daily for BPH. I've no problems with extended time erections. I think the 5mgs of Cialis keeps my fires burning so to speak...It's a non-issue being on both.
