I've been doing ICI for about 6 months, so about 40 to 50 injections. I've had very good success, with absolutely no pain. My mix is 30/3/20 and I use between 1.5 and 2.5 iu with a 5/16 inch needle, 31 gauge. My practice is to prefill a syringe to 3 units and then freeze it or refrigerate it until the day it's needed. So when I use it, I cycle the plunger to loosen it and then push out the excess to get to the actual amount I'm going to use.
Here's my story (I'm not proud). I botched my last attempt. I can't explain it, but I just forgot to cycle the plunger and reduce the amount. With the needle in my dick, I realize that I have too much and will have to estimate where to stop the plunger. And then the plunger seems stuck so I have to really force it. That's when the pain started - pain I had never had before. I'm thinking I missed the corpora cavernosum, so now what? To avoid the pain, I withdrew the needle and injected the remainder in the opposite side. At this point, I don't know if I have too little or too much. But, I got a stiffy, a little bit later but pretty much as normal, but it completely collapsed on me about 20 minutes into the deed. Very embarrassing.
Where do you think that first injection went that it would cause pain?

Re: Bungled injection
I don't know specifically which tissues you injected into other than obviously the wrong ones. Pain when depressing the plunger is a sure way of telling you're in the wrong tissue, as is plunger resistance.
If I'm freezing a syringe I don't draw up more than I need. I draw up the correct amount and then draw in a bunch of air. I then freeze them with the needle raised so that the air will be at the needle end when it freezes. To use I just thaw, with the needle remaining up, push the air out and then inject. Also, when I experience pain or plunger resistance I never pull out and then re-jab elsewhere. I just adjust the depth in or out until I can inject without pain or plunger resistance.
Good luck.

Re: Bungled injection
My tale of woe continues… and worsens.
Yesterday, my bungled attempt at least resulted in 20 minutes of quality erection. Today, with all factors going well, I got nothing.
I always vary my injection spot but some are easier/better than others. To insure success, I picked the best spot and upped the dose to 3 iu's (which is 20% more than my previous max). The injection went perfectly: no resistance, no pain, a little blood aspirating to confirm the needle was in the cavernosum. All morning, I was sporting an unaided come-and-go stiffy indicating my head was in the right place.
But nothing.
I'm still on my first batch of Olympia Tri-Mix which is now 6½ months since being delivered. The actual Rx bottle has been in the freezer except for the very short 3 periods where I thawed it to pre-fill syringes. What are the chances it has abruptly expired? In the past 3 weeks my duration of erection has steadily declined from 2 hours to lasting as necessary through intercourse but going soft quickly thereafter. In this time, I've increased the dose by small increments.
Has my dick habituated to Tri-Mix and now will never respond again even to a fresh mix in a high quantity?
My plan is to try the original frozen mix straight out of the bottle at 4 units (a 33% jump). If that fails, then a brand new batch. If that fails, an implant.

Re: Bungled injection
For a sudden change like that, you're likely missing the cavernosa. Get a vacuum pump, get good and swollen using that, and put a constriction ring on it...shoot, then roll your penis around in your hand and rub it up and down to distribute the medication. Take the ring off and wait for liftoff.
I've done it this way for years and it's almost impossible to miss the target zone this way. Before I used this technique I would occasionally get a "miss" and have little to no effect.
This also gives your dick a head start on the injection because it's already full of blood.

You need to order a weaker mix! you can't consistently meter and administer such small doses. Any small error in metering or administration will have a dramatic effect on the outcome. The fact that you can get good results tells me it works.
