As I understand it, venous leakage is caused either by a failure of the "outflow valve" of the penile blood supply to close and hold in the blood that causes and maintains an erection or by a loss of structural integrity of the cavernosa. I don't believe that a causal relationship can be established between the items you describe and the outcomes shown here. Try reading www.peaktestosterone.com/Venous_Leakage.aspx for clarification.

Thanks for that link, Greg.

It is somewhat encouraging, but I guess I'll have to wait until one week from tomorrow when I will know for sure if the shots work. :?

just my opinion....

trimix relaxes the smooth muscles that let blood flow INTO the cavernosa (the things that need 'inflation' for an erection.
Venous leakage is the result of the 'out-flow' of blood .... when that happens, the erection is lost.

I don't know what causes it .... or if you can tell by other indicators.

Ok, I went to the uro and got my first shot yesterday by his PA. Yes, she was young (late 30s) married, and quite attractive. I was pretty nervous over all this, and told her that most of it was because she was a female. She laughed and put me at ease, said she had been doing this for 16 years. Fortunately, she had the kind of personality that defused my fears. She was not the type of cold, all-business clinician that never smiles, making you even more nervous.

She injected me with an initial starting dose of 5 units. It worked about halfway or so. So I am to try it again using 10 units; she said to wait a couple of days.

Someone on this forum mentioned that the shot felt like a bee sting -- I experienced the same thing. I didn't really feel the needle, but the sting came when she injected the drug. She did it very quickly; the instruction sheet she gave me said to inject it slowly. Will this help dampen the sting? She did say the next one wouldn't hurt as much.

Another interesting thing the sheets said, which I have not seen anybody mention on this site: Once you get your dose right, you can pre-load the needles and store them in the freezer. Freezing the drug does not hurt it at all, and helps to preserve it even more than just refrigeration.

Another question I've asked on this site was about getting syringes OTC, which many of you said you could do. I was pretty sure you cannot do it here in NYS, so I asked her and it is true. You do need a 'script for them here.

Even more important than all this of course, is that my PSA is still zero.

I get five 2 ml vials with each order and they arrive frozen with instructions to keep them frozen until you are ready to use a vial and then keep the open vial refrigerated.

Andy,

Yes I do 10 syringes at a time and store them in a minifridge freezer compartment.
It is barely at freezing in there (but is full of ice).
Just pretty convenient to do a 10 pack all at once and then just grab n go.
Of course you only do 10 when you are sure about the amount.
Saves on alcohol swabs for me too.

Glad to see you are on your way .. and that she was young and pretty and professional.

Carry on .. make sure you zero in on the right amount and are really familiar and comfortable before you have to , someday, do it all real quick in a bathroom with your gal waiting outside, eh? You want to be confident it is gonna work and know how long it will last etc etc.

I don't understand your comment about saving on alcohol swabs . . . ?

LOL, when i went in I was hoping she would be unattractive. I would have been able to focus better probably. Heh, first time in my life I've hoped to have an unattractive woman play with my dick than a pretty one. Oh well it all worked out, and after we got into it I really didn't mind having a young hotty molesting me.

I hear you on getting this all down pat before I really need it. I'm trying it again later today (Sunday), two days after the first try. I am to double the dose, and am expecting a pretty good rod. It'll be nice to see the old boy again, he's been sleeping for 9 months.

Andy,

I don't understand your comment about saving on alcohol wipes . . . ?

I was going to explain that .. then deleted it from original.. OK..

If I was doing 1 syringe at a time I would use one swip for the bottle at fill up time and then another swipe at sticlk em time (since I seldom use the shot at time of syringe fill).

So by filling 10 syringes at once I would use 1 swipe to fill them all and then the usual 10 swipes one at at time at later use times. So only 11 Instead of 10 to fill +10 to inject .. simple cheap piker math ... save a whole 50 cents!

Hey one more area you may have interest in. If you have severe ED (never get errection .. even nocturnals), you might consider using a PUMP to keep things expandy-stretchy-fully erect as a penile therapy on all those days when not shooting. I notice even 4-8 hrs after pumping that I get extra noticeable residual girth from a shot. And what gal does not want a little extra girth?? They all do!.. Some guys like the Bathmate pump for PE therapy - but I am too cheap to buy one at $150. Just a good regular pump -- don't even need rings if just for pumping therapy.

keep at it ...

I do have a pump, Jim. (see my signature.) Another thing I forgot to mention about my appt. on Friday: the urologist asked if I was getting any erections at all with the 5mg. Cialis, and I told him yes, but they were not usable. He said it was possible I might get a usable erection with a stronger dose. So he gave me some 20 mg. samples but I have not "tested" them yet.
