I went to my Urologist today to get my first Trimix injection. He started me off with 15 units. My mix is PGE 9.8MCG/ML/PHENTOLAMINE 0.98MG/ML/PAPAVERINE 29.4MG/ML which I understand to be a lower strength. He did the injection, slight pain but not too bad. It took about 15 minutes to get the full effect. It was about an hour after the injection that I got home. Still had a good boner so the Mrs. and I got to it. Great sex, I was even able to climax, which I had read on here can be difficult with Trimix. After having had the boner for almost 2 hours, I had enough and took 2 Sudafed to get rid of it. I don't need one for more than 30 minutes as the wife will not go any longer.

My question is, if I reduce my dose to 10 units and use a Giddy (cockring) will I have the same quality boner but it not last as long? That would be ideal for me.

I also wanted to say I have learned so much from this forum, it is truly a godsend. My Urologist was not very forthcoming with helpful info. Example, after he injected me and then came back 20 minutes later to see the result, he said if this doesn't go away in 3 hours you will need to come back to the office and I will give you a shot to make it go down. I said what about taking Sudafed instead or doing some exercise? He said oh yea, I guess you could try that. Didn't say anything about massaging after injecting. I honestly feel like I know more about the process than he does thanks to this forum.

Welcome to the forum.
I don't know what effect you'll get from combining the Giddy (which I have no experience with) and the injection. Every guy is different and only experimentation will determine what your results will be. In my case I do find that combining the injection with a cock ring does allow a lower injection dose. I suspect you'll have the same experience.

Getting a satisfactory erection that only lasts a half hour may be a challange. You will likely have to live with an erection a bit longer than desired.

Yes, you are on a weak starter dose.

It is surprising how ignorant some of these supposed specialists are on injections.

Yes, do compress the injection site. I compress the injection while at the same time massaging my dick to help spread the meds.

I used an auto injector and found it helped to get the shots in the right place more often .. and I was told to massage the whole area not just put pressure on it .. each dr has his or her own ideas ..

I am fairly sure I know more than my uro about ED and the possible treatments, mostly from the advice and experiences noted on this site

I really think all male Uros should do 5 to 10 injections of low dose, just so they know what the physiological impact it has on their patients. They have no idea what we are going through if they haven’t experienced it.

Agree with RJ. My Uro kind of showed me how to do it but didn't have me try it in office. He didn't even mention priapism or what to do if I had one. I had to ask him about Sudafed. Thank goodness I found franktalk.org.

The autoinjecter is a Godsend to me. I have found the correct needle length and have had 3 successful sessions as I am a newbie myself.

What auto injector are you using and what needle length?

I bought the autoinject 2. I was given a bunch of 1/2 " needles. The first time I injected into my Urethra and blood came out, lots of it. So instead of investing in some 5/16th needles, I bought a VED to plump up the penis to help me find a good injection site. I also dialed the nib of the autoinject up so that the needle lenght is probably 5/16th. It is possible to adjust for proper needle length. Since I started using the VED and the adjusted nib length I have had 3 completely successful liftoffs. I am actually enjoying the injection process now.
