changing syringe size

I have a dumb question that I think I know the answer to but since the consequences are pretty severe if I don't understand this, I'm going to ask. I use ten units in a 1/2" 30 ga 100 unit syringe. I'm thinking about going to a 30 unit 5/16" 31 ga 30 unit syringe.
Is ten units in one the same amount as ten units in the other?
Is ten units in one the same amount as ten units in the other?
