Two possible solutions for ineffective trimix injections?

Postby CoconutWater27 » Tue Dec 13, 2022 5:14 pm

I've been using trimix for about 3 years now and recently it's effectiveness has diminished. It's only giving me about 60% of what it did previously.

My doctor increased the strength several times but that didn't help much. My prescription is very strong now (60/30/3) and I inject 75 units.

I was looking through these forums for possible ideas/solutions and I came across two which I'm hoping could help:

1) From the beginning, I've always used a 31 gauge, 5/16 inch needle. but I saw that someone said that they'd always used a 29 gauge, 1/2 inch needle and then they tried a 31 gauge, 5/16 inch needle; and the trimix was ineffective with the 31 gauge, 5/16 inch needle. This happened a few times and then he returned to using the 29 gauge, 1/2 inch needle; at which point the injections began working well again.

Is there any reason to believe that switching from a 31 gauge, 5/16 inch needle to a 29 gauge, 1/2 inch needle could make my trimix injections effective again?

2) I read someone saying that they use a constricting ring at the base of their penis either while or right after injecting. Could this keep the injected trimix from leaving the penis? and as a result, allow it to be more effective?

Thanks in advance

I'm not a medical professional of any kind. Anything I post is based on my own experience at best and hallucinations and or delusions at worst. Internet forum advice is likely worth what you paid for it or worse. Always ask your doctor and follow his/her advice.

That is a pretty stout dose. I suspect the main problem is that your ED itself is getting worse.

Doubtful. If the needle size was working fine for you in the past I can't imagine why it would stop. But there's no magic needle size. It's whatever works best for you. If you find a 1/2" 29 gauge works best for you, then that's what you should use. I've been using 5/16" 31 gauge needles ever since I went to compounded mono-mix with no change in their effectiveness.

I like to wear a novelty/sex shop silicone cock ring around my dick behind the boys. I believe by itself it enhances an erection by lifting from below and by pulling back on the suspensory ligament. I also believe it constricts blood outflow, helping to maintain the erection. Last, as you suggested, I believe it holds the meds in a bit longer giving them a better chance to work. These rings should not be so tight they stop all blood flow. They should just slow it. If you stop all blood flow with the rings you will need to limit wear to 20 minutes or so. Other have reported success using rings constructed of other material but the silicone rings are what I use. Don't expect success with the first rings you try. Expect rejects until you find what works best for you. I can suggest the ones I use if you like but you may find others work better for you.

I put my rings on after injecting. However some guys have reported success putting on the rings before injecting. Give both a try if you want.

I don't think the length or size will make the Trimix more or less effective. However, a 5/16 length needle may cause more misses because it may not fully penetrate the corpora cavernosa (erectile chamber).

I have used a cock ring for years long before doing injections. For me the cock ring makes my penis 10-15% harder with Trimix.
I put the cock ring on just before injecting. Which helps keep the Trimix in the penis.
I leave it on until after the sex act is finished. Our sessions are fairly short at 20-30 minutes, after which I remove the cock ring on.
Since starting the use of Trimix and using the cock ring I've had to cut back on the dosage. I'm pretty sure it's partially due to cock ring.
Your result may vary. Although I've heard from a number of trimix users who say it also helps them.

Thanks for responding. and yes please suggest the ones you use. I suspect a lot of the trimix is escaping since I'm injecting 75 units. I'm really hoping this can help keep it from doing so

Thanks for your response. A 10-15% difference would be great. I'm definitely going to give it a try

Here's the Cock Ring I use. It's available at Walmart, Amazon, and at my local drugstore.
https://www.amazon.ca/Durex-Pleasure-In ... B01BGWL6K8

Google it: Durex Pleasure Ring
It is made from silicone (stretchable) and seems to be well-made and lasts several months before needing to be replaced.
