End of the injection road

Postby Phallicy » Fri Sep 02, 2022 10:47 am

I wanted to relate my experience here, because I wish I had known several years ago what I know now.

My story is familiar: ED, pills worked for a while, then stopped. Then doc started me on Trimix...wow! So great to have a full erection back.

But then, over time, the injections became less effective. The doc then upped the strength, worked great for a while, but then same thing. This continued for a year, and the injections became hit or miss. Each time, the doc upped the strength, and each time same story.

One thing I noticed that definitely got worse over time is that the erection would fail when my partner was riding me. If my penis was not more or less pointing down, the blood would seem to drain out and party over.

So very disappointed because I thought that with Trimix my ED issues were over.
Now, I want to emphasize that this was my experience...there are plenty of Trimix success stories on this board, so keep that in mind when you read the following.

One of the things I read about when searching for another solution was implant. I will admit, when first reading about it, I thought: this is insane. The idea of having a sack of fluid that upon squeezing a piece of plastic in your scrotum would flow to your penis and make you rigid, and then using the same piece to deflate...no way would I EVER do that.

Spoiler: the more I read, the more research I did, I became convinced that it actually was not insane. I was implanted 6 weeks ago, and all I can say is that I wish I had done this when the ED first appeared. People with implants have an astounding 98% satisfaction rate, and now I understand why.

And now, in retrospect, the idea of doing this odd process of pressing something in your scrotum to go erect seems no more odd than the process of getting erect by sticking a needle in your penis....and the implant is 100% of the time reliable, and MUCH less awkward in that it takes about 10 seconds to do--and can be done discreetly--what would take something where I would need to spend 10 minutes doing the injection.

I can go into more detail if anyone is interested, but my length and girth are 90% of what they used to be, and most people experience 100% or more retention after a year; and I have had sex with several women and none of them knew I had an implant.
And to give you an idea of the rigidity, I can easily hang a long bath towel on it.
(I hope I don't to come off as a shill for implants.)
Born 1959. Pills worked then stopped. Ditto Trimix. Implanted July 2022, Coloplast Titan 24cm.

Awesome. And you're only at 6 weeks post-implant. Having the right positive attitude about what you've decided to do(whether implant or otherwise) is a very significant part of this. Congrats. Enjoy.

And I wouldn't worry about being perceived as a "shill" etc. You're sharing a personal experience and an opinion. Trust that others can do the math for themselves on that. The strength of this forum is built on more blunt honest unfiltered voices, not fewer.

Thank you for your post, I had no ED issues until I had RRP two and a half years ago. Pills didn’t work and left me sick, injections initially worked and now that has failed a well. I am considering an implant, and am wondering when is the right time to go that route. Sharing your experience here has helped….much appreciated

Baldoink, I don't know why you were offended to see this in the Injections forum, Phallicy is very pleased with the results of his surgery and was attempting to share his experience to others who may be in the same boat. You are obviously pleased with your injection program as are many others, that is great and I am happy for you, but what is your attitude going to be if one day you realize you are at the end of the road using injections?

I sympathize with Phallicy, I went down the exact same road except for the various increases in tri-mix strength, but based on many successful experiences on this forum I decided to go for an inplant as did Phallicy. I will have my operation on September 20.

The other reason I am going for the implant is I am one month shy of being 78 years old. The decision came easy when the time came, I had 3 unsuccessful injections in a row. After the third failure I was lying next to my wife, she was satisfied by the way, I quietly said, I think I need an implant. My wife was originally against the idea, but after reading FT success story after success story to her, she said, if you think that is best, go for it. My wife is 75 years old. Yes, sex is still very important to both of us.

My implant surgeon says my age is not a factor, he has implanted men well into their 80's. I am healthy and active and certainly don't feel my age. To me it is the next logical step and I know this surgery is going to make me feel even younger.

Getting an implant is no one's first choice, but it becomes your last choice.
Used Viagra & Cialis until lost vision in one eye due to AION, therefore can never use pills again, then tri-mix 1 1/2 years until unreliable. Implanted 9/20/22 at 77 years old by Dr. Yafi, UC Irvine. Married 55 years wife 76. 20cm Coloplast Titan.

That sounds just like my story. My only problem is I wasn't smart enough to find FT before taking that first Viagra.
Hope all goes well for you.

I started using injection 4 months ago. Previously I suffered with ED/PE for most of my life. I always wondered if I was normal in that area.

So far the injections have given me the best erections of my life. I use to (day) dream about being able to have an active, solid erection that last more than 10 minutes.
Now I hope after an hour that the erection will go away.

My wife, recently she told me in her (limited) experience, these are normal erections. With the exception I'm still hard after we both reach the big O.
As far as I know she's pretty much a one and done kind of gal, While now I'm hoping for multiples for both of us.
Struggled with ED/PE for years.
Started using Trimix in May 2022 with very good results.
