Is 29 gauge 1/2 inch needle TOO big?

Postby kilsong » Mon Jul 18, 2022 12:22 pm

I have been using this set up for Trimix for about 5 years. I read online that a one half inch needle is TOO LONG.
These Injections are becoming quite difficult lately so I'm wondering if a shorter needle would work.

Interesting! I have been having problems missing the sweet spot with my 5/16 x 31's and have been thinking about going to 1/2" x 29. I have had 3 misses in a row! Not fun!

How do you describe your problems with the 1/2" needles? Have you been pushing in the 1/2" all the way in? Why do you think you are having a problem after 5 years? My dick size is as average as you can get.

I'm established with a renowned urologist for an implant, all I have to say is "Let's do it!" Sounding better all the time.

For what it's worth, my Urologist said to use nothing less than a 29 gauge needle, either 5/16 or 1/2 inch. He's had several patients that broke off the 31 gauge needles in their penis, which is very problematic and potentially serious. Could have been cheap needles or the like, but don't know for sure...

Oh, that would not be good! Good point on 29 vs 31.

The only problem I'm having is how long it takes to actually get the needle all the way down to the base. I use this only on Fri and Sat.
I've just noticed that the whole Injection takes the better part of 5 min of slow gradual pushing to get it all the way down.
That can't be good.
If a shorter needle would suffice, I'd give it a shot.
Lol

This weekend was my 26th injection, consider myself of average size.
All of my injections utilized the 29 gauge - 1/2" needle, inserted until the hub is flush with the surface. I have not had a single mis-fire, and am to the point of barely feeling the injection

Experiment, and use what works best for you. I use the 31 gauge 5/16, but if I was having problems I'd try something else. I can manage to go too deep with even a 5/16 and have to back out a bit.

Disclaimer: I am not medical professional but a (relatively new) Trimix user.

If it is more difficult inserting the syringe (needle) after 5 years, I wonder if you are injecting at the same spot or are you varying the injection site along the side of your penis?

I've been a 31 gauge 5/16" user with Trimix for years and think it's the way to go. With that being said I feel like all syringes are not created equal. I use only BD brand syringes as I feel like the needle point is the sharpest and the syringe is the best quality and when it comes to my little guy down there I'm not going to go cheap to save a few bucks. Is there a better brand? I don't know? Curious to see what others have to say about which brands they think are the best.
