Online Men's Health Doctors for Prescription Mono-Mix?

Postby Sean762 » Thu Jun 02, 2022 9:25 pm

Long story....skip down to TLDR for the short version

I have a local urologist that prescribed Tri-mix 105 (30/1/10), but won't consider Mono-Mix instead. I was set to have my first injection with the 5ml he prescribed 6/7, however after reading some threads here, I'm worried about potential scarring with Tri-Mix long term. If I eventually need an implant, I'd rather not have ton of fibrosis/scar tissue the surgeon will have to deal with.

He also won't give an emergency script for Phenylephrine HCL. So I was asking in another thread for local Phoenix area doctors that might be able to help with both Mono-Mix and Phenylephrine.

I got one name for a Doc up at Mayo Clinic....and my wife had experience there and we were impressed with the service, however, this time around they are being pretty unreasonable about my providing all prior medical records before they will even give me an appointment (I've had several doctors looking into the cause of my ED from my PCP to 3 urologists, an endocrinologist and a heart specialist). It just seems like I'm jumping through a LOT of hoops and may still have to wait 3+ months to see this guy anyway.

TLDR; Can't find a good doc locally.....can someone recommend an online one who will prescribe PGE-1/Alprostadil/Prostaglandin via a telehealth type interview process? If you have any ideas on pricing for the visit, that would be appreciated as well. I found https://www.defymedical.com/national-tr ... am-for-men in a search...but it appears they only use Tri-Mix and Quad-Mix. They charge $250 for the visit. I don't know if you have to use their compounding pharmacy though...and it's about the same price for Tri-Mix as rxbuyersclub.com for example.

Thanks in advance.

Hi, here are the exact notes that I took during my conversation with Kevin at Olympia. You can see that I bought the injectable antidote, but I never have had to use it. Although my order was for trimix, the price for the PGE, shipped, would be pretty much the same. Let us know how it works out.

Sorry for yet another question, but rxbuyersclub is charging about $150 to join the 'club' ($60) and get the telemed appointment ($90). Did you just call and get a telemed appointment from Olympia Pharmacy direct for the $54 with no 'club' fees?

right -- no stupid club fees -- they have a doc call you direct who was very pleasant and quick -- she asked if I knew what injections were all about and I said well I know what goes where and why -- end of discussion.

Hi Sean,

I called Kevin at Olympia directly, his direct line is on my scratch note sheet above. He talked to me for about 15 minutes or so. He then said, "I can set up the Tele-Med right now, do you have 15 minutes?". I said yes, and he had the TeleMed doctor call me in just about 5 minutes. The Tele-Med only lasted less than ten minutes, my conversation with Kevin was actually longer. Olympia shipped my tri-mix immediately, it arrived still frozen the next morning at 10:00 A.M.

Again, thank you both (@crazyjoe and @solvingadream) very much.

I'll give Kevin a call next week and report back.

Thanks again!

I sux. I didn't call Kevin.

2 reasons, but the first one is not being able to call from work during normal business hours and the time difference.

The other reason is my PDE-5 pills have magically started working really well recently, so there's less impetus for injections at this point. Not sure how long this improvement will last or exactly what caused it....I've added creatine to my workout regimen and have lost a little more (around 5 lbs of total body weight) and about a 1/2" or so of fat from around my midsection.

Not sure if that's helping or if my mental state is just improving. Might be a combination of both mind and better fitness.....

I still very much appreciate everyone's help and will definitely reach out to Kevin if this becomes an issue again. I want to put off injections as long as possible since there's a lot of talk of fibrosis/scar tissue for a lot of guys and that not only can necessitate eventually going to an implant, but can also make implantation even more difficult for the surgeon. I'm 48 with no obvious physical issues causing my ED, so I'm going to play it cautious for the long haul.

Thank you both for the help. Very much appreciate it.
