hillly willy......I only use edex40 which is 100% alrpostadil. I do not use any
trimix, the edex works just fine and I do not have any pain from it, usually gives
me a nice hard on, good for sex but I also use a cock/ball ring to help things a
little bit, it will last at least an hour, which is all I want. Anymore than that
would be a waste for me and for my wife.

A good friend has been dealing with this for some time. His therapist said his main issue was focusing on pleasuring his wife instead of his own pleasure. The therapist said “until you conquer PA be selfish and make it all about your pleasures This is the opposite of what you think but it will help. Your wife will ultimately be very happy.”

OP, try reading "Coping with Erectile Dysfunction" by Michael Metz and Barry McCarthy. It goes into much greater detail of what azmike said succinctly. Reading it will not be a cure for PA....but it will lay the groundwork. You may need therapy or as he also said, hypnosis to help overcome it. I think all of us suffering from ED likely have some psychological component contributing to our issues....b/c it's a total mindfuck to not have control over our bodies the way we always have.

Biggest problem I've found is not being able to find a good, qualified therapist to help with the problem....but you may also not need a 'sex' therapist that specializes in ED, depending on the potential underlying issue. If it's simply performance anxiety and PTSD, many therapists are qualified to give you coping mechanisms to be 'consciously in the moment' instead of fixating on the goal of erection.

I get this. I am single so when I have a date I have to worry about hiding the needles on my person, sneaking off to do the injection, bathrooms that don’t have locks, the smell of the alcohol wipes being noticeable, carrying an extra dose because the first one probably won’t work well enough, worrying that the erection will abandon me mid-action even so, and so on. I think the anxiety is part of why I often can’t keep hard even with injection, and to be honest even just alone with my hand I am anxious about losing the erection and not being able to get off despite the injectable, and then that becomes self-fulfilling.

It’s at the point where I avoid dates and hookups. I made a few dates in the last year but ended up freaking out about each one of them a day or two before and canceling.

Now I start losing it almost as soon as it comes up, no matter how much I inject. My doctor keeps telling me it is all in my head. I think he’s being an idiot.

He kept injecting trimix for the ultrasound but he couldn’t get it hard at all, so the ultrasound was a fail. Since he couldn’t check for venous leak, he blamed my performance anxiety instead.

I’ve been working on it. Three months wait to get in with a urologist if you’re a new patient here in the Northeast though, then who knows how many months more to schedule the test if his office is like the previous one’s. It’s frustrating losing yet another Summer just for diagnostics while single and fast aging out of being able to get dates with whom I would like to date.

Coming back to the thread subject, from the responses it looks like my problem probably isn’t purely performance anxiety, since trimix should be bulletproof for that issue. Thank you for the helpful responses and sorry if this went off topic.

Many injection users on this forum go through a time-line of increasing Trimix doses and formulations before getting an implant.

Thanks. I have tried. The dose/concentration don’t matter much. When using 10 times the dosage that used to keep me hard for 3 hours a couple of years ago now barely keeps me semi-hard for 5 minutes, and 20 times maybe 7 minutes, I think the problem is unlikely to be mental.

With that additional information I think you are correct. I assume you have not only tried increased dosage but different formulations as well? I know I may be stretching here but I feel badly you must wait so long for another exam. The only other self-experiment I can think of pending your appointment is possibly trying PT 141 which also works for some without engaging your mind. But it does have nausea side effects.
