Should I be concerned?

Postby Markc2008 » Tue Nov 02, 2021 9:41 am

I’m in Vegas for work and brought my wife. I used a shot last night like usual and all was well… but I made a rookie mistake. Lying there afterwards waiting for it to go down I must have been tired from the trip and fell asleep. I woke up five hours later hard(sometimes I still get some nocturnal erections especially with meds). As soon as I woke up and panicked it went down. I have no idea though if it was just a standard erection that went up and down in my sleep or I’d I was like that for five hours straight? Is there anything I should be looking for? If I was hard that whole time Is five hours going to destroy my penis?

Mark,
Does your erection normally go down within a reasonable amount of time after sex? If so, IMHO, and that's all it is, is that you were experiencing a nocturnal boner and you hadn't been hard for 5 hours. When I was injecting I would often wake up during the night hard, and/or with morning wood. The next night, morning, nope. I'm willing to be you are fine.

Sometimes I have a hard time getting it to go down. It will last two plus hours and I’ll sometimes get up and walk or do push ups or something. But it always goes down I’d say within three hours max.

But I really just don’t know? I’m a little sore today actually now that I’m up and moving. But could be the pge-1 after effects. I mean would having one five hours cause damage? I know they say not to have one more than three

I've had similar concerns but wouldn't Priapism cause enough pain to wake you?

That’s a valid question I’ve wandered as well.

I went to the ER for this once... they weren't too concerned until past 6 hour mark.
If it went down quickly I bet it wasn't priapism

My Trimix nurse said 6 hours is the point at which tissue damage starts, and that I should head for the ER at 4 hours.
