Trying to get the right injection mix

Postby Mikedsy » Tue Jul 13, 2021 11:41 am

Had my prostatectomy Jan 30 '21 and was successful and doing fine except for the ED. No issues before surgery and surgeon said one set of nerves came off clean, other he cut into a little but expected erctions recovery. Stared pills in second month and nothing so tried the Trimix injections. They lasted too long and was uncomfortable and a little painful. Had standard mix 10mcg/30mg/1mg and was using between 6 and 7 units so hard to titrate. Switched to Bimix Ph .67 Pa 20 and works pretty well at 25 units but still have erections sometimes lasting 2-3 hours, but not painful like the Trimix was. Wondered if a different mix, maybe less papaverine, might be better. My urologist was thinking maybe PGE alone. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Everybody is different as to what mix is best for them. You may have to experiment some more. I use a straight PGE mix and it works well for me and has for 10 years. First with Edex and then with a compounded PGE mono-mix.

However, the PGE is usually the ingredient that is most likely to cause ache or pain. It's also the most potent ingredient for causing an erection. Some guys find the pain intolerable and have to go for a mix that doesn't contain PGE. Before immediately giving up on PGE you should be aware that for many guys that initially get the ache, they find it moderates over time and can eventually disappear after continued use and finding the correct dose. I'm in that category. I expect that even now if I injected considerably more PGE than necessary I would experience some ache. I do supplement with novelty/sex shop cock rings which allows a somewhat lower dose of PGE. It is also worth noting that while no injection therapy is risk free, the PGE mono-mix is believed to have the least risk of scaring.

It may be worth trying a straight PGE mix as suggested by your doctor while using the smallest dose that works. Consider supplementing with novelty cock rings. A search will turn up many threads on the topic.

Be patient and cautious and expect it to take some trial and error until you find what works best for you.

What's wrong with a 2-3 hour erection???

Thanks for the reply. The Trimix did not give me pain right away, but after about an hour I was very uncomfortable so maybe it was the time and not so much the drug. Seems like it got harder after the first hour. The Bimix, although it lasts too long, is not uncomfortable. If I had multiple wives 2-3 hours could come in handy, but one wife and one hour is enough for me :) . I don't need to be knocking thinks off the shelves in the grocery store. Everyone being different is so true, seen this in so many things I have read and my urologist likes to remind me of this too.
