My urologist recently told me that he was raising my dosage from 10 to 20 MCG due to poor response (no response). Me the genius, thought, "I have so many 10mcg viles, I'll just inject myself with 2 while I'm waiting for my shipment to arrive. Well fellas, it didn't work. Has anyone had success had success with a secondary shot or should I just wait for the new dosage to arrive?

I have had a couple occasions where an injection will feel like it's not working very well, and I'll do a small additional injection on the other side.

The second dose is usually half the size of the first one or less.

Obviously this should be avoided if possible because you're doing twice as much damage to your dick than a single injection

For the original poster, wouldn't it be easier for now to just draw 20 MCG from your vials and inject just once instead of two shots at 10 MCG? Or maybe I am missing something.

He probably has 1ml vials, and syringes that only hold 1ml so it requires 2 shots

Yeah, I suspect he's using proprietary cartridges like Edex. Each vial is 1ml of saline whether it contains 10, 20 or 40mcg of alprostadil. So you'll inject a full ml of saline if your doing a 10, 20 or 40mcg dose. If less than one of those pre determined doses is needed you just don't inject the whole cartridge and discard the remainder. So, if he only has the 10mcg cartridges but wants 20mcg of alprostadil he'll have to inject 2 full cartridges equaling 2 full ml of saline.

If the original poster was doing fine at 10mcg and then it suddenly no it longer works at all then I suspect something else is going on. Especially if he injected two 10mcg cartridges for a total of 20mcg and it still didn't work. Something else is going on that needs to be discovered and addressed. Sudden dramatic increase in venous leak? Something happened to the cartridges to ruin them, possibly extreme heat? I'm just making wild guesses but I suspect it's not just a simple need for an increase of dose.

Follow Up! The shipment of 20MCG arrived! Problems solved! Urologist said, "The increased heart medication was causing problems." (One in specific) It was time to up the dosage to 20. Thanks for your help guys! This forum is awesome.
