Survey: Guys who like injecting and why?

Lots of topics in this forum understandably address problems with injecting. I thought it might be useful and reinforcing to have a topic where those of us who are happy with injecting can register their satisfaction and the benefits they are receiving.

I’ll start: Using Trimix 30-2-20 I’ve been injecting for 3 months and am amazed at its effectiveness. The benefits I have experienced include:
• Consistent reliability in producing a firm and long-lasting erection at any time -- doesn't matter if eating first or if drinking
• Low cost per injection
• Increased girth
• Stays firm even after orgasm (on ED meds, always deflated)
• Sudafed always works if needed
• If I “miss”, it only produces a bruise that doesn't hurt and goes away in a few days – no big deal and if that is the worst that can happen, I’m a happy customer

I like it because it works, it's pretty cheap, and pretty much pain free. Alprostadil (PGE1) mono-mix of 80mcg per ml at 14 units.

I agree with all of the above benefits and am a very, very satisfied Trimix user (about two years) -- but feel the need to consider a couple of less positive attributes:
1. Spontaneity -- interrupt foreplay, "I'll be right back, don't go anywhere, got to take my shot..."
2. Does not travel well, yes it can be done, but pills do travel better.

I love my Trimix. I only had erections this strong on rare occasions when I was young, making me wonder if I always had an ED issue, or if maybe all males do. I can now take all kinds of time in foreplay which was never the case in those early days worrying about going limp. My wife enjoys that aspect too. I take a long time in "refractory phase" now; it's days instead of hours, and so don't have sex as often as when I was in my 20s-40s. But when I have it now, it is intense. "If I could turn back time" as Cher sang, I would bring Trimix with me.

I love the lack of systemic side effects.

Pills would give me headaches, stuffy nose, and diarrhea. All things that suck to experience on a date with a woman.

Viagra would give me a 4 hour headache after it wore off and cialis would give me a 10 hour headache the entire next day.

Injections put the drug right where it's needed and leave the rest of my body alone.

Injections are very reliable once over the learning period.
Provide durable erections even after ejaculation.
Unfortunately, spontaneity is completely lacking and travel can be difficult. sex is limited to once a day and 3 times a week (medical recommendation).

I have vennous leakage and have used injections for more than a year. I'm in my 50s and am seriously considering moving on to an implant. I have spent too much of my attention on erection issues the last few years.

Yeah, I never experienced being completely not worried about losing an erection, it's a game changer because I can focus more on my wife, consequently her interest has improved out of sight.

I'm convinced and ready to start injecting. How do I find a urologist who is pro-injections?

I will say when ED first hit pills worked for a while. After a couple years it was maybe it would work, but then left me with migraines the next day. Then found Trimix injections. Same thing, they worked wonders at first, although having to stop the fun to go inject was a big pain. Travel was also a issue with the Trimix.
Think I used Trimix for about 3 years then it began to no longer work. Moved up to Quadmix. That worked for maybe 6 months. To get an erection my dosage of either was so high it made my penis hurt for a day or two after. Once everything stopped working it was on to the implant.

I don't know where on the Space Coast you're located but I know Hobbs Pharmacy, (321) 452-0010 133 N. Banana River Drive, Merritt Island, FL 32952, compounds the injection mixes. You could try calling them and asking the pharmacist for a list of doctors that prescribe it. If they aren't close enough to you then you could ask them for the name of another compounding pharmacy in Melbourne or Titusville that makes the injection meds that might be closer to you that could provide a prescribing doctor list. I've never bought my mix from them but I was in there with my brother awhile back and I asked, and they do make mono-mix, tri-mix and probably the others. Their pricing is higher than what I pay at Coastal Compounding in W. Palm (Plus Coastal is way closer for me) but they should have what info you need. I've personally never done business with Hobbs, at least not in 52 years or so but I did work there as a high school kid for the current owners father. If the kid is like his father he's good people.

Edit to add: I just called them to confirm the accuracy of my post. The pharmacist I talked to was very helpful and friendly and will be able to point you towards some prescribers in the area.
