New guy questions

Postby choicetomake » Fri Feb 19, 2021 11:50 pm

Hey guys, new here. Just got a prescription for trimix and had the test dose (.05 cc) last Thursday with minimal results. Went home and tried twice with .1 cc each time again with minimal results. Now I'm hopeful still it'll work. I still get erections on my own pretty frequently although not rock hard. I'm an incomplete quadriplegic and a lot of my paralyzed buddies swear by this stuff. I think that the lack of results so far are due to a few things:

1. The dose is still low. I'll probably try .15 cc tomorrow.
2. Maybe I haven't hit the right spot yet. The second time I injected there was a bubble beneath the skin which scared me but went away. So I probably wasn't deep enough. I'm using the 5/16 needles. Is there a way you guys feel around for the CC before you inject?

My last question is whether you guys use the autoject or not and if you like them. Thanks for all the insight.

Welcome to the forum.

Try to read as many of the old threads in the injection sub-forum as possible.

I'll assume you're following standard instructions for injecting. There will obviously be some variation based on your anatomy. I also use 5/16 needles. I insert all of the needle and depress the plastic nub into my flesh a bit. I usually determine if I'm at the proper depth by syringe plunger resistance. After I insert the needle I test the plunger resistance. If the plunger depresses easily and with little pain, you're at the correct depth. If there is much pain or the plunger is difficult to depress you need to go deeper or back out a smidge. You probably need to go deeper but you can go too deep. You can also us blood aspiration to determine depth placement. If you're at the correct depth you should be able to easily pull back on the plunger a tad and aspirate some blood into the syringe. You don't even have to see the blood just so long as the plunger moves easily. If you aren't in the correct spot it will seem like the plunger is being held in place with with rubber or similar as it will be difficult to move and want to return when released. Sometimes you may need to push the needle in a bit too far to punch through the membrane and then back out a tiny bit.

I hope that was clear enough.
