A NEW EXPERIENCE WITH TRIMIX - NEED INPUTS

Postby Dowmass » Mon Jun 22, 2020 7:39 pm

This might sound like something you already read - Yes this is from a previous thread called "some questions about trimix".
I am starting this thread because it's a new situation.

First off, thanks in advance for your replies.
I have had ED for 12 + years - have been a Type 2 Diabetic.
I used to be on Viagra and Tadalfil, and then they stopped working. F
Fast forward to 2020,I finally met with my urologist who prescribed Trimix . The combination is PGE1-PAPA-PHENT in the ratio: 10McG-30MG-1MG/ML. The urologist started with 20 units (0.2 ml)? This did not work well - as I had a "minor erection", not even good enough for masturbation. So the doctor asked me to try 30 units, and increase it by 2 units each time until I got a firm erection.

As of now, I have increased my dosage by 5 units and stand at 45 units. I was concerned about it not working so emailed my doctor for advice. He said I should keep increasing it by 5 units. I then asked him at what point I should stop if I didn't get a firm erection. So here's his reply: "You have to stop at 1 ML. After that you need a prosthesis"

I am not only confused, but a bit upset as well. In my earlier email I had suggested that he change the strength of the dosage , but he has completely ignored my request. I am not a doctor, but should the doctor at least not tell me why he wouldn't consider a higher strength or combination?

Also when he talks of a prosthesis straight from the trimix, I am wondering if he is on the right path - or is it about the money (I am sure the doctor makes more money through surgery than prescribing trimix or.a stronger combination.

So that you understand, I am not demeaning or insulting the doctor, nor am I questioning his judgement. When I visit him, he spends less than 5 minutes with me - and that is a pattern and not a one off thing. Now I am wondering if I should look for another urologist? What would you suggest ?

Thanks!!

not a lot of experience here, but it sounds like you don't have a lot of confidence in him..at the very least I would get a second opinion form a trusted urologist before going to an implant...stan

A NEW EXPERIENCE WITH TRIMIX - NEED INPUTS

Postby Dowmass » Mon Jun 22, 2020 8:43 pm

Thank you for your response and suggestion. I am definitely going to take a second opinion. I would think that a specialist in Urology would have a conversation with the patient, and answer questions. Other than that, I would think that surgery would be a last option if possible. I am told that a good urologist would usually tweak the TRIMIX, or go in for QUAD MIX, and then suggest a prosthetic surgery.

Is it not a norm for doctor to do a penile Doppler ultrasound before they prescribe? Or is that more of an exception than the rule?
Anyways, if more Trimx does not help, I would be changing my urologist. I am scared of surgery and what it might bring. Maybe I am over reacting, but that is my frame of mind today. Thanks again, for your input.

If you already have a Trimix prescription go to https://www.rxbuyersclubusa.com/. Talk to Hank. They can set you up with a higher strength or Quadmix. If Quadmix fails, it is time for an implant.

Thank you so much. Is it a good idea to have Viagra with Trimix? I did some search on the internet, but there is nothing negative about it. On the other hand, I was on the healthunlocked site, where several people said they had very hard erections after taking Trimix along with Viagra or Cialis. In fact one of them said that his urologist suggested this combo.

As for me, I asked my doctor if I could use this combo - and he simply ignored that when he replied,

I injected for about 10 years before getting an implant this month. It sounds to me like the injections are not working too well for you. Here is my experience. I started with the prescription with the individual vials. I could get two shots out of each single use vial (caverject). After an entire vial was not getting the job done I got my Doc to prescribe trimix. I used the regular dose for a long time. I started with about .25 syringe but quickly got up to about .5 syringe for good results. I did this for a while but before long I was needing almost a whole syringe for it to work well. Maybe .8 or somewhere around there. I asked my doc to give me super trimix. So for the last two or three years I used that. I was back at .5 syringe at first but eventually was needing an entire 1 ml syringe to do the job. On top of that, since I have venous leakage, some of the injection would get out into my system too quickly and with the super trimix I was back to getting migraine headaches just like the viagra used to give me. Anyway, in spite of that I eventually started mixing the entire prescription with only 4 ml of solution. Now I was injecting the equivalent of 1.25 ml of super trimix. My BP would drop real low (it was already low) and I would have the migraines about every other week (injecting once per week), and even then the erection was only really good about half or three quarters of the time. I made an appointment with my implanting surgeon and he immediately told me that my only option was the implant.

I had no problem with injection when it worked. It was no big deal. I would actually get excited about injecting because I knew what was coming in a few minutes. I never could understand how somebody would have a problem sticking that little needle in if it meant a great erection. To me it was much better than viagra when it was working. But as happens, I eventually grew so resistant to the injection that it was no longer practical and was actually not good for my health. Not to mention that it cost $100 a month. If I were you I would give it every chance, but don't push the dosage too far. If the dose is very large, then I think you should seriously look at an implant. I am on day 11 of mine and I am very happy that I went ahead and did it.
I am 68 and have been married for 50 years. I had ED for about 20 years. Treated with Viagra (10 years) and injections (10 years), but finally built resistance in each case. Had IPP surgery on 6-12-20. Coloplast Titan 20 CM with 1 CM RTE.

tigerboy19: I want to thank you and everyone else that has taken the trouble to respond.
So what is the "SUPER TRIMIX"? Based on what I hear on this forum, the progression would be like this:
[
1) The trimix with minimum dosage (0.20 ml in my case) going up progressively to 1 cc.
2) The TRIMIX ratio (PGE1-PAPA-PHENT) being changed to get better erections
3) Using only PGE1
4) If none of these work, look at a prosthesis.[/size

]

I was wondering if my doc was bypassing some steps?

At 45 units I am getting a 70-75 % hardness, and I should be increasing my dosage 5 units at at time. Hoefully at 70 units or more I should be erect to have sex.

As stupid as it seems, going under the knife scares me to death, and I would consider that as a last resort.

Just out of curiosity, What is the cost of the prosthetic surgery? How much might be covered by insurance? What is the process and how painful is that? Lastly what are the downsides?

You still have a ways to go as far as the trimix goes. It sounds like your erections will probably be pretty good with a higher dose if you are at 70-75% with 45 units. If I were you I would just keep increasing it incrementally as your doctor advises. The super trimix is just a higher concentration of one or two of the ingredients. It should be a little stronger so lets say that if you are at 75 units and go from trimix to super trimix you might get the same results using 50 units, but the same 75 units might be better results. I was actually able to keep injecting for many years until I needed more and I was at the end of the line and there was no more. Hopefully you will have good results for quite awhile. I definitely wouldn't have surgery until it was necessary. I think you will know when that time comes. Also, I have had a great experience so far with my surgery, but some people do get infections that cause them to have it removed and try again. The percentage is low, and if you are healthy it is actually less than 1% or so, but it is still there, so don't do it until that time comes. That would be my advise. As far as insurance goes, I had very good insurance but it wouldn't pay at all. I had the surgery as soon as I got on Medicare. It pays it all except for the part b deductible of $298 in my case. Cash price would probably be $15-20,000.

Dowmass, take a deep breath... :D 30-1-10 is the lowest prescription for Trimix. There are several higher prescriptions that you can try to get great results. You shouldn't even be thinking about an implant yet. RXBUYERSCLUBUSA.com lists all the possible combinations of Trimix available. I just tried 30-3-20 and got a three hour diamond smasher so I will need to back down a bit. You'll find what works for you...
Fifty-one years old. ED started at age forty. I took Cialis for eight years and used Trimix for almost three. Implanted 12/6/22 by Dr. Jonathan Clavell. AMS 700CX 21cm.
