Needel size

Postby wgs743 » Sun Apr 26, 2020 12:11 pm

I have been using a 1/2" 28 gauge syringe. Does anyone have experience with a 5/16" needle? Is it long enough to reach the caverosom ? If it worked, what gauge was it?

This is from memory, not a scientific analysis . . .

From posts here on FT, it seems guys are about 50-50 between preference for 5/16" vs preference for 1/2". If 1/2" works for you, there might not be much reason to change. But syringes are cheap, and it would cost just a few bucks to get a packet of 5/16" and give them a whirl.

Now about that 28 gauge . . . Again unscientific, but I would say that most of the guys on FT report using either 30 or 31 gauge. If you're trying to avoid pain by looking at a shorter needle, my impression and my experience is that discomfort is more related to needle thickness than needle length.

I us 30 gauge. But my doc originally started me on 27. When I switched to 30 it was like money from home.

5/16 or 1/2 will both work. I prefer 5/16 but I have to insert all of the needle plus indent my dick a bit with the plastic nub of the syringe. I use 31 gauge, which is easier to find in the 5/16 length than 1/2. I much prefer the 31 gauge and have had no issues with it. There is no problem pushing the meds through the 31 gauge. The finer gauge makes for a less painful injection.

I started with the 31 gauge but found that they bent to easily. I'm using the 27 gauge now and have more success but they are painful. It's like I have a tough sheath around my dick that prevents penetration. No it's not scar tissue. It doesn't matter where I inject it's still hard to get the needle in. Anyone else had this experience?

I've never used any size except 5/16, 31ga. Haven't had any problems to prompt a change.

For some reason I have a harder time injecting on my left side of my cock. Guess it's because I am right handed. So, I use both, the 5/16 and the 1/2 inch, former 31 gauge, latter 30 gauge. I generally use the 1/2 inch on the left and the 5/16 of the right. I have a large amount of foreskin and maybe that and being right handed is what is the problem with using the short needle on the left. I did find out through trial and error that if I pull the foreskin over the head of my cock then grab the head and pull to full length I don't feel the needles penetrate as much. I also indent the nub when using the shorter needle. It all works fine for me.

I use the 30 unit 31 g 5/16 and I've noticed on my left shaft it's a little harder pushing in than rt. I just kinda jiggle needle with a slight pressure down and usually goes in. I'm not very girthy when flaccid and not easy to keep a little plump even with ring. 1/2 is too big or I have to put in about half way with. I'm rt handed, but I've learned to give myself injections with my left hand with no issues.

Thanks to all for the advice.
T got a dozen 31 gauge, 5/16" to try. Works much better than 1/2"
