I hope following experience is helpful.

I use Caverject Dual Chamber 20 micrograms injections which you can get on NHS and are easy to use.

Because I am a tall , big muscly man my Specialist suggested not to bother with minimal dose but to go to maximum 20 setting - That proved to be terrible recommendation - I did get a spectacular hard-on but also pain which was so intense that I nearly fainted and lasted for over 4 hour . Total nightmare.

I now use only the minimum setting ( 5) I get a very satisfactory erection , I mange to have penetrative sex for almost 2 hours and while there is slight discomfort the pain is manageable. So I strongly suggest starting with minimum dose - if the pain is intense - you are probably injecting too much .

Best of luck

I agree that the dual system is conveniente but costly and wasteful especially in the US. Near extortion, my view. I don't mind mixing the kits, that way the unused portion can be left in the vial refridgerated for later. Never had a problem if used within a few days. I clean the vial thorughly with alcohol to avoid contamination. Works great for me. Trimix is indeed stronger and costs less but priapism more a possibility due to the papaverine, but cost must be considered versus risk and eswt dosen't work for everyone.

I'm using Viridal Duo 20mcg which I've managed to get 4 of for £66 which is £16.50 a shot ($19.88)

Which I didn't think was too bad - can I ask how much the US guys are paying for caverjet duo?
UK based, 48yrs Old, had ED all my life. PDE5 pill no longer work on their own, Currently on 0.5ml of Invicorp (Aviptadil 36mcg/ 2.85mg Phentolamine). Injections efficacy dropped after Covid infection, took 4-5 months for injections to start working again

According to drugs.com https://www.drugs.com/price-guide/caverject it's cash price is $659.89 for six of the 20s or $867.45 for six of the 40s. That's why I switched to a alprostadil monomix from a compounding pharmacy for what was $120 for ten 1ml vials of 80mcg/ml alprostadil monomix. That would equal 40 Caverject 20s. I think my next order will cost $150 or so due to Joe's price hikes. Oh, I'm sorry, it's Vlad's price hike.

Caverjet is expensive, My GP wrote a script for Caverjet. I took the script to my local pharmacy and was quoted $90 CAD for two injections!

I made an appointment with a leading urologist to try Trimix. Both the urologist and doctor visit are covered under OHIP, Ontario Health Insurance Plan.
The trimix is not covered and cost $99 CAD out of pocket for 5ml vial, Which should give me at least 20 injection. The syringes are $5 for pack of 10.
Age: 68. Struggled with ED/PE for years.
Used Viagra for 10+ years with mixed success.
In May 2022 started using Trimix with very good results.
Feb 2023 developed PD

Just to report back that thanks to another FT user, I asked the consultant to try Invicorp which I am happy to say works a treat. No pain at all.
Doesn't leave me in total fear of a priapism like Caverjet (Viridal), feels more natural.
I've tried it 5 times and I tentatively think I've found something that will work for me

Just for anyone else who finds the aprostadil ache too much, try the Invicorp. Its actually slightly cheaper than Caverjet too.

Thanks for users on here

US, retired military, allowed Caverject through TriCare Express Scripts with 12 doses for a three month period - one per week. The last refill was $26. May have increased to $36.
I use the full 20 unit dose and attain a 40 minute erection even while on daily 5mg cialis. There is mild to moderate soreness for 1 to 2 hours afterward. Walking around and it goes away faster than just sitting around. The soreness is like if you had very vigorous sex for an extended period of time - like in your college days - and you might be worn out sore for a while.

So Invicorp, I had a very scary reaction the other evening. I usually just use all the .36ml.
Lasts for about 2 to 2.5 hrs.

Well at 4 hours I was really starting to panic. Cold showers, gel packs directly on it. Running up and down the road. No good. At 4 hours I ran in the spot flat out for 30-40 mins and it started subsiding at 5 hrs. I am 1hrs away from A and E in a very rural location. Luckily no permanent problem

Why the heck did it suddenly go on for ages like this?

Has anyone ever had a unexpected reaction to your usual dosage?

I went back to Viridal 10-12.5mcg and no problem.

Btw is it possible to get spare Viridal Needles. I could use half my 20 mcg, take needle out as cartridge will self seal. Stick in fridge. Use a fresh needle the second half of it. No messing around trying to fill a syringe up. Little in terms of wastage.
