You can get a needle just for drawing meds out of vial. I use them to fill my syringe with testosterone. It is a huge needle , maybe a 10 ga. but you don't dull your injection needle at all. Us the needle for filling the syringe to fill then change needles to inject. I did bend several needles when using trimix and had no idea why. Just for your info. Ask your pharmacist. They are very inexpensive. This needle is way too big to use for an injection.

I likewise use a two-needle combination for managing my testosterone cypionate injections. First, there's a large bore 18g needle (it's a dagger) for filling the syringe barrel. That is then discarded and a friendlier 28g is used for injection.

The big one for loading is necessary because the T medication is as thick as maple syrup and near-impossible to draw through a small-gauge needle.

Nothing similar is needed for trimix or quad mix (I have used both), which are approximately as thin as water.

Yeah, you shouldn't need to do that for tri-mix. I did that routine with the T shots when I was doing them. Just be careful with bending the tiny gauge needles.

Once, My injection needle that I use is a 22ga. The pharmacist also pointed out that you don't dull your injection needle when penetrating the vial covering. I have had a couple of the small needles (31 ga) bend when attempting to inject Trimix.

Bending is not breaking.

You can make a big contribution to your own peace of mind if you take a used syringe, grip the needle with a pair of pliers and bend it back-and-forth. You'll be pleasantly amazed at how many reps it takes to break.

I have routinely straightened the occasional 30ga needle that comes out of the vial slightly bent. Usually just stick it back in the rubber stopper and tweak in the appropriate direction.

I'm not aware of any 30 or 31 gauge insulin syringes that have changeable needles. It would be an unnecessary step with needless additional expense.

Please tell me you weren't injecting your dick with a 22 gauge needle.

Yep, done exactly the same thing. And never broke one (31 gauge).

You guys are making this into a bigger deal than it is. 30 or 31 gauge should work fine. 5/16 ir 1/2 length. If you use an auto injector there might be an argument for a bigger gauge.

I use 31g - 5/16" Minimal discomfort. Don't worry if you bend the needle a bit when extracting the Trimix. The needle won't break. As an experiment see how time it can be bent before breaking
