Needle size?

Postby Ratt19 » Sat Jan 18, 2020 11:21 pm

My nurse has prescribed me one inch needles. Injected for the first time after my nurses appointment and it was extremely uncomfortable.
Does anyone else use a one inch needle for tri-mix injection?

I use a 31ga, 5/16 inch. One inch seems awfully long to me, but I'm no expert.

I have always used 30 ga, 1/2 inch. All the posts about needle size I can remember seeing on this site over several years have been from guys using either 5/16" or 1/2".

I have never seen anyone saying they use 1 inch. It would seem to me that if you use 1 inch and bury it to the hilt, you would risk passing through the cavernosa and dumping your medication uselessly into the urethra.

I can tell you from experience that some of the nurses working in these places give out information in error. The first time I was injected in the doctors office the nurse did not follow proper protocol for injecting Trimix into the penis. I did not know the difference at that point. My wife who is a nurse was present and witnessed my first injection. I too have been told to use either the 30 or 31 gauge needle which is 5/16 or 1/2 . On3 inch seems way over board to me as well,

You could inject on one side through the penis into the cavernosa on the other side with that needle! DON’T use it. I use 30g x 5/16

I use a 28 ga. 1/2 inch needle, and insert to hilt. Have only had one miss in 1 1/2 years. One inch needle seems way to long to me.

AMEN guys-----A 1 inch is WAY too long! That nurse is out of her mind! Either a 5/16 or 1/2 is what you want to use. I have both and switch off and on between the two. I have read that the shorter needle may cause less scaring than the longer one. My 5/16 syringe is shorter than the 1/2 inch and is easier to handle. I have had a few misses with the shorter needle but I chalk that up to having an excess of foreskin as I pull it back over the head of my cock, grab the head, pull it to one side or the other, depending on which side I want to inject into, and inject. I have never had a miss using the 1/2 inch needle. I also buy my own syringes and get both size needles in 31 gauge. Makes it painless to inject.

I think I’m going to try the 1/2. What gauge to you all suggest?

Yep, unless you have the proverbial donkey dick an inch is way too long. I use 5/16" 31 gauge. Others use 1/2". Use 30 or 31 gauge. If using an auto injector you will need the 1/2" and probably at least 30 gauge. I inject manually and use the 5/16" and bury it plus dimple the skin a little with the plastic nub. A 1" needle is just insane.

I think the doctor needs to know about that nurse's bad advice.

Remember, the higher the number the finer the needle and the less you feel sticking it in and, in my non-medical opinion, the less potential for scaring. I'm very fond of 31 gauge.

The 31 gauge is fairly bendy and may be an issue if your juice comes in larger vials. Mine comes in 1 ml vials and the 31 gauge needles supports the vials just fine while drawing it out. Note that while drawing out the needle is pointed up with the vial sitting unsupported upside down on the needle. With a larger vial you would probably need to support the vial with your third hand. That or have a better technique which I'm sure is an option.

Thank you for all the replies. Everything I have read online fails to mention the one inch size. It feels off to me. Not painful, but like someone gave me a charlie horse in my penis if that makes sense.

I have messaged the nurse and the doctor.

You guys are awesome, thank you.
