New on the board--just got started with Tri Mix

Postby sommers » Thu Sep 26, 2019 8:21 am

I always look for a forum like this when researching subjects--I get more value out of other folk's real world experiences than endless reading of material that may or may not be just advertising pieces
My situation-
68--fit--but suddenly experience E D. Was fine up until about two years ago--when I started to recognize "junior" wasn't performing as well. Wasn't dating anyone--so it wasn't an urgent issue. Things have changed--I met a 46 year old who I"m super attracted to and it's vice versa. Now my ED is surfacing and is becoming an issue (for me more than her--so far). So I went to a couple of the men's clinic operations (the ones on the radio ads all the time). Very interesting stuff--Learning about Testosterone and even HGH supplementation as well as penile injections/wave therapy--etc etc. Tried the higher potency sublingual viagra/levitra etc tabs--and found them more effective than the basic ingestable pills I had been supplementing with for the last two years--but still not enough
So I started up on the Tri Mix ramp up yesterday--Know I'm being over charged--but at $300 for 12 shots--and guidance from the clinic-I signed up--not a big $ burden to quickly learn.
Questions-
1--is there a go to site to deeply learn about these injections--their chemical make up--etc? I went into the clinic for the "test" dose judge my sensitivity and was given two "trial " pre loaded syringes to take home and try. On the bag they were in it reads
"Trimix Dose" 0.25 ST-9A--I get the 25 (ML-I think)--but what is the meaning of the "ST-9A" (is that their in house code??). As I'm paying $20 per syringe--I want to get to a compounding pharmacy ASAP--once I go through the trial and error of determining my optimal dose
2--Is the potency of the Tri Mix based on the volume injected of the solution?--or is the formulation of the injections changed?
I am betting this clinic isn't going to volunteer the formula they are selling me (they know i'm like everyone else and will try to cut them out--why pay $20 per dose versus $5 or whatever it is)
I'm obviously a newbie--and seeking to ramp my education quickly

First of all, welcome to the board. There is a LOT of great information here and the men here are really knowledgeable and supportive of one another.

Spend a bit of time reading through the posts in the Injections category as well as the General Discussion category. That will probably answer a lot of your questions as well as raise a few new ones.

I found this article helpful.

TriMix is generally papaverine, phentolamine, and prostaglandin. The different strengths of trimix have different amounts of these three. A compounding pharmacy will stock different strengths and some compounding pharmacies can custom make any variation. While your MDs office might prefer to sell the trimix to you directly (and make a profit) any reputable MD will give you the script so you can have it filled on your own. If they won’t leave them and find a Uro that will.

My uro was selling me TriMix for $250 for a 5ml vial. Once I figured out what a rip-off that was I asked for the script and now pay $130 for 10ml from a compounding pharmacy. (Americare Compounding in Garden City NY).

I’ve used trimix for a year and a half and am generally REALLY happy with it. I get a big thick hardon that lasts 1-2 hours with another hour or two of a semi chubby. Lots of time for fun.

Welcome to FrankTalk. So glad this place exists.
55yo, NYC. ED started at 40. 50 units BiMix + Atropine (Pap 30/Phen 6/Atr 0.2). Prostaglandins caused aching. Doses increasing. A cock ring helps. Phallosan Forte tension devise to maintain size. Eager to talk about implant experiences.

thanks for your reply
This ED clinic has already indicating they are resistant to providing the prescription---but I also suspect there is something in the law requiring them to do so (and of course ethically as well)
My "subscription" for $300 with them was they provide --and office visit--a test dose in office--then two trial doses at "no charge" to take home and try. I tried one and wasted the second on the floor (bad injector technique on my part). The one I did try was too weak--and they have prepared a more potent syringe for me to pick up and try--and the process is to be to continue to test doses until I find the right one.
I hate to think I'd go through all 10 doses still due me and not have an out card on buying elsewhere-

I did TriMix for a couple of years after radical prostate removal and bladder cancer. Fortunately the E.D. clinic was very helpful in teaching me how to successfully deal with the shots. ("You want me to stick a needle where?") Things I learned that are useful:
Keep the bottle in the refrigerator at all times, and have ice with you when you pick up your prescription to keep it cold enroute home.
Never touch the bottle on the sides....only top and bottom, with two fingers only to prevent heat from your hands effecting the contents.
Be ready with everything before removing the bottle from the fridge, so it is out of the fridge for the least amount of time possible.
Be very careful with the needle and again handle it so as not to transmit heat from hands to fluid.
Remember the life expectancy once mixed is about 4/5 weeks if you are super careful about how you handle the product.
Also, and very important
Inject on alternate sides of your penis every time you use it. After a while, multiple punctures start to create miniature scar tissue which has an effect. So try not to inject at the same spot.
And the best advice that I followed was to get an implant that I can pump up every day and lessen the dreaded shrinkage that happens when you do not get an erection regularly...sort of like watching a kitchen sponge dry out on the window sill.

I think I paid $20 for a box of 100 syringes & needles from Amazon and $90 for my prescription which was enough meds for 200+ injections and this is without insurance. I think whatever clinic your visiting is totally ripping you off.

Interesting take. I'm a current user and have been for the past 10 months. I've left my medicine outside of the fridge for 12+ hours many times before and the mix has been good & potent for 6+ months. Ive also touched the bottle everywhere, I just use an alcohol wipe on the top before inserting the needle to keep things sanitary.

One thing I agree with, don't inject in the same spot over and over again. Switch sides with each injection!

Yeah, I didn't find everything in 1egg's post to be accurate but he's entitled to his opinion I guess. I always wonder about the implant guys that feel it's necessary to go to other other sub-forums to proselytize for implants. The "Implant" sub-forum is easy enough to find for those interested.
