New to Trimix, this is what has been happening

Postby jonjonbear » Mon Sep 16, 2019 9:48 am

Hello all,
I'm 56, pretty good health but have suffered from ED for a long time. Not sure if it's in my head or what. I do wake up with morning erections but if I need to use them, they go away.
My GP put me on daily Cialis, 5mg. Seemed to help some but not very well.

I started seeing a urologist and he suggested we try Trimix, so he ordered a "trial kit" and he had me inject myself 10 units in the office to see what happened. I got a pretty okay half way erection which was exciting. Not crazy about the needle and the one he had for me was LONG! But off I go and he sent in a prescription. I think it is a "5"? Does that sound right? The stuff he has me ordering is premixed and shipped in an ice pack.

So the first time I tried it for real I used 15 units ( he said to start gradually). Was better, but my erections are not "rock hard" and actually didn't last very long. So next I tried 20 units. Got hard pretty fast, but again, seems to get to a certain point and doesn't get any harder than that but was slightly better. Also noticed a bit of a burning sensation when I injected.

Yesterday was my first full 30 units. Burned like HELL when I injected it. All the way up and down my shaft. Very uncomfortable but didn't last very long, maybe 30 seconds. It worked pretty quickly, but again, I only seem to be getting about 2/3's of what I think I should be getting as far as hard. Stayed hard-ish for about an hour.

Does it sound like I'm on the right track, or do I need to see about something different? I sure didn't like that burning but at least it didn't last too long. I'm using a 5/16" needle 31 ga. I probably average girth. Thanks guys!!

Hard to say without knowing what your mix is. There should be there numbers on the side of your bottle.
Age: 39, Diabetic (well controlled) HBP (since teens, less well controlled, but ok),
mild ED for 3 years, l arginine l citrulline and norvaline (amino acid stack) helped.
Pills: ineffective. Started trimix: 6/24/18, EXTREMELY effective.

My experience is that MOST of the time the needle stick feels like a bad mosquito bite and I feel the medication going in, but it doesn’t hurt really. Every once in a while I have the experience you mention where it’s quite uncomfortable.

Make sure you are alternating sides when you inject, giving yourself at least 24 hours between injections, and injecting the SIDE, not the top or bottom of your shaft (where nerves and vessels are). Avoid veins as best you can and hold pressure on the site for a couple minutes after. I’ve heard 5 mins but ai’ve never been that patient so I probably hold for 3 minutes.

I’m now up to 50u of 30mg, 1mg, 20mcg Mix. Everyone is different. Keep your MD informed and follow his/her advice. And if you get a hardon that won’t go away for more than 4 hours take a couple Sudafed and get yourself into your docs office or the ER.

When TriMix works for me it’s amazing. A big, thick hardon that was like the ones i had when I was 17. But my dose has escalated over time and I find I need progressively more for the same effect. Not uncommon, but others have been on basically the same dose for a long time.

Let us know how you make out.

jon,

Try adding a not overly tight cock ring to the mix. you may find it helps. Experiment with different ones. I find that injecting more slowly helps avoid med pain.

GoodWood basically said it all.

Best advise is to work with your doctor. You have the chance to live where you get access to TriMix and variable formulas.

Working with my doc, I went through 3 strengths before I achieved a hard, solid erection. Talk to your doc about an increase in prescription strength and whether or not he/she thinks that's the right move.

Jon

You are not alone, I was on trimix also. It burned like hell and my erection seemed skinny. Absolutely a sex killer. My Dr. insisted that Bimix was not an option because I responded so well on barely 05 (my needle dosage) dose.

I suffered and ultimately stopped injecting. After finding FT I saw discussions regarding Bimix and this past year I found a different Uro who said I absolutely could tri Bimix, stating it sounded like I was allergic to the third compound.

The Bimix was like night and day. Very little pain (some due to duration of disuse of injections) and my girth was very close to how I remember it.

Absolutely speak with your Uro

In May of this year, and seven months since my last erection with intercourse, which occurred the night before I was wheeled into robotic prostatectomy surgery -- I was ready to be hard again. I asked my Urologist for a prescription for Trimix, which he gladly obliged. I took the Rx to the compounding pharmacy about ten miles away, and they filled the prescription. I appeared at my "training session" with my Urologist with Trimix (30 mg papaverine HCL/1 mg phentolamine MES/10 mcg alprostadil per ML) in hand, who explained the procedure and injected the dose in his office. When my pecker grew to the size I was used to seeing pre-surgery, I was elated. It took about ten minutes to realize a true boner.. I was and am a believer.

I self-injected a couple days later, same results but was able to share the mutual orgasm with my true love and wife, Susan. I packed three syringes (31 gauge, 1 cc, 5/16 inch) and iced them down for our trip to Italy a week after our first try at this procedure. We had great sex in Europe over a course of ten days. It all made a wonderful trip all the more memorable. I refilled the Rx in early August, my 5ml vial yields about 30 doses of 15 units (so about 50 units are wasted, hard to get the last drop). Thirty doses for $65, not bad at all ($2 per shot). I have had one "misfire" in about 35 attempts. I think it went into a vein and was all carried into the bloodstream, so technique is important. All that said, you and I are in the same mindset, an erection achieved without pills or shots is the goal. And, it is within reach.

Does anyone know if the injections are using the erection nerves (nurovascular bundle). Had HIFU in may, My urologist says injections are therapy and I will begin to achieve erections naturally in the months ahead.

Jonjonbear

I had two episodes with the burning so bad I could hardly bear it! I took two Sudafed immediately and wrapped my cock in ice packs and moaned loudly for two hours straight! It was horrible pain that i was close to seeking emergency care. I hope I never experience this again. Just wanted to share this info with readers.
