How common is it for injection dose to stay the same or increase?

Hey guys,

How common is it for the “right dose” to stay the same verses increase over time.

I’m currently on 40units of a medium strength. I started on 20units of a mild strength a year and a half ago. My experience is that the dose has crept up steadily over time. What is your experience?

I don't have a good answer. I'll speculate that it depends on the cause of your ED. I'm sure if your ED is due to a venous leak that is getting progressively worse you'll continue to need stronger doses until such point that it doesn't work even with a constriction ring.

In my case, as far as I know, I don't have venous leak issues. Mine appears to be caused by nerve damage from prostate removal. My dose remains fairly steady but does increase a bit as my mix ages. Hopefully that will remain the case.

So, I obviously have no idea what a general answer to your question would be. I'm guessing it depends on the cause of the ED.

How long does it take for your mix to age to the point that it doesn’t work as well? I keep mine in the chiller box in the bottom of the fridge. And now it’s 2 and a half months old.

Well I got a double batch last time because I had 2 refills on a script that was about to expire. So I got 20ml in 20 1ml vials. I keep all but one vial hard frozen in the back of my freezer. The vial I'm using I keep in the front of the freezer. I started out using 12 units. I'm now using 15 units. I could probably bump up another unit, maybe 2. My mix is over a year old.

I'm not going to suggest that using mix that old is a wise practice.

Have reduced my dosage from 25 units to 20 units. Maybe it's because GF began working out at the gym ? However accidentally used old stuff which said to discard after 08/2017 and has been kept in fridge and it worked as good as new!

I am on my second 5-ml vial of Trimix (first Rx was filled in May, second in August). I pre-loaded about 30 syringes with my 15 unit (0.15ml) dose and put them all in the freezer. I have noticed that the 15 units may be a little too much for me (erections now last about 1.5 hrs (30 minutes at 100% firm ... one hour to decrease to 50% firm). I believe my nerves are showing signs of healing now that I am 11 months post robotic prostatectomy. I may try pushing a couple of units out of the syringe prior to injection next time I use the Trimix (inject 12-13 units).

Another sign of nerve healing is my response to the sildenafil (generic Viagra). I take 20mg a day, for penile rehab. I tried the 100mg "challenge dose" in the past with no response. Recently I have achieved penetrable erection quality on 40mg. I don't want to jinx myself or get overly excited, but things seem to be improving from an ED perspective.

Finally. I bought the standard package of OTC Sudafed a couple days ago, for use as an antidote to long-lasting erections (Dr Mulhall's book recommends this treatment). Anyone using Sudafed for this purpose (priapism)? What's the dose and how did it work?

I happy for you that your nerves seem to be healing. I pray you have continued improvement.

Sudafed use for that purpose is fairly common. I've used it for that purpose. I'm much better now days at determining the correct dose of juice so it hasn't been necessary in a very long time.

I am a diabetic. When I first started, I worked up to 45 units before I got satisfactory results. However, over the succeeding three months I was able to reduce the effective dose to 15 units. I stayed at this level for about two years and then over the next six months, I had to slowly increase the dose until even 70 units could not generate satisfactory results. I stopped using Trimix over a year ago. I now depend on a VED.

I'm not on Trimix yet, but still on Edex. But my injection dose has been the same for years now. I have venous leakage, so I have to assume since the same dosage works for me now that the leakage hasn't gotten worse.
