Trimix Failed -- What Happened?

Postby ftwabeck3533 » Tue Aug 20, 2019 9:39 am

I received my first Rx for Trimix in late May. I kept it in the vial in the fridge for about 3 weeks. Then I "pre-loaded" about 15 syringes with my 0.15cc dose and put them in the freezer. For a couple months I've been pulling out one when needed, thaw, and inject. Up til today, incredibly strong erections and great sex with my wife. Today, a bust, did not get hard -- maybe a 30% erection. What happened?

Based on my experience, my guess is that (1) there was some misfire with your injection technique; or (2) something may have been off with your blood chemistry. I've never had a failure, but Trimix induced erections can be affected by high or low blood sugar, meds for aches and pains, and such. Anything that affects your cardio-vascular system affects the blood flow to your penis. The root cause of your ED can sometimes go into high gear and back again.

If it continues, try increasing your dosage 1 unit at a time and see what happens. At some point, call your doctor.

One unknown factor: I know nothing about freezing Trimix and how hat might affect the integrity of the mixture. My prescription says DO NOT FREEZE in big bold letters. I know other guys freeze with no ill effects, but my compound pharmacist says. "No, a thousand times NO!" So there's that.

Here's to hard times.

I started with trimix about 2 months ago and it has been great! Great that is until last Friday night when the injection failed. Ive been trying to find out what caused the dud after so many wonderful experiences. Some feedback I received seem to think I injected in the wrong spot. I talked to a friend who has been on the stuff for over a year and he says he takes a 50 mg Viagra the morning before he plans to inject.. If you figure out what happened, be sure to send me a private message. I don't like being floppy when I should be standing at attention!

Hey, shit happens. I managed to nick a vein last night and bled a little. I thought I'd specifically missed it but was close to the vein in question but no. Not a big deal as I nicked it and didn't drill through the center of it. but it goes to show that even when you think you're an expert you can screw up and I hadn't hit a vein in at least a year if not three.

As for freezing or not, do what the doctor or pharmacist tells you. However, bear in mind that the shelf life of alprostadil, even refrigerated is very short unlike the other two active ingredients. My mono-mix vial say to freeze it.

I was curious so I called my pharmacist. He says to freeze his tri-mix. He didn't understand why you wouldn't. He did say repeated freezing and thawing will break it down. When I suggested that I'd heard of some ingredients precipitating out of solution he indicated that he may have heard something about that but believed it was rare. I suggested that it might be with very strong mixes. He thought that sounded plausible.

All very interesting but bottom line, do what your doctor or pharmacist instructs you to do.

Misfires happen. After dozens of recent successful jabs (of like nearly 200 total) with only a few small bruises (I always get a drop of blood out), I was in poor light and a bit more flaccid than I usually prefer and I did 4 jabs the other day to get the right spot. One hit the upper part and I got a twinge in the head, one the plunger would not budge. I find shooting up when partially engorged works best as it increases the target size and better exposes the surface veins.

Good news to report guys. After my recent misfire, the Trimix is as good as gold again. I was loading up syringes to freeze, and I could not resist injecting a dose to see if I still "had it". Worked like a charm. I just need to remember to focus on the right injection site!
