BiMix dose

Postby peterknight » Sun Apr 14, 2019 3:24 pm

I'm relatively new to injections and my urologist has me using BiMix (see profile for details). I started at 0.2mL and am now up to 0.8mL with almost adequate results. I seem to need 1mL or more. I know many of you use TriMix, but to those with BiMix experience, how much did you get up to?

Curious why you were prescribed bimix instead of trimix. I started with trimix and had good results but the alprostadil caused extreme pain. With bimix I have to use 90 units for results and it stuffs up my sinuses. Have played around with different prescriptions and am presently using 50 units of trimix with a lower alprostadil content.

Thanks Indiana Bones. Can you translate your "units" in mL? Units is dependent on the syringe - 1mL max or 3 mL max.

In general, 100 units = 1 mL. The syringes that most of us use were created for people who do insulin injection and that is the calibration that those syringes have. Personally, I have not seen a syringe where the total is 3 mL and there are 100 gradations on the shaft. Of course, I can't at all claim to have seen every type of syringe.

90 units is 10 units than 1 ml. My syringe holds 100 units. I also found it hard to depress the plunger that was extended that far.

When guys on this forum talk about units they're talking about U-100 insulin units and the syringes designed to administer it. This is the most common type of insulin measurement and it's associated syringes. However, it's not the only insulin measurement and associated syringes. Some vary greatly from the U-100. Thus the concern of your doctor. The U-100 units are as described by 60s_surfer. Always make sure you are using U-100 syringes if using units to meter your dose. Oh yeah, I'm not a medical professional so I don't know shit. Ask your doctor.

a little more info. i use a .5 ml , 30g syringe. .5 ml is 50 units, manually inject. using the smaller size syringe allows you to see the units more clear as the scale in in single units rather than 2units of the 100unit, 1ml syring. unless you inject more than .5 ml, 50units. this size should work, and they are less expensive too. my mix is 30mg papaverine, 4m phen, 20mcg alprostadil. i get the "pain" occasionally but i am now mostly accustomed to it. at fist, i was using 10mcg pge1, then dropped to 2.5mcg and now worked back up to 20mcg. works fine. only thing is that if i wait very only 45 mins, to orgasm it sometimes takes manually manipulation as the pge1 dampens the sensation for me.

My pharmacist suggested the 3mL syringe so that the plunger travel was reduced. I agree 90 units (0.9mL) is hard with a 1mL syringe. Much easier with the 3mL.

10-15 units depending if I want 1 hour or more erection. My uro says mine is a very low dose. I have no experience with trimix.

my mix is 30-4-20, pap, phen, pge1, i use 15-16 units. i have used up to 25 and do not see any difference in hardness or length of erection time. perhaps a little though. the more i use the less sensitive my dick us, resulting in a delayed orgasm....
