I think the label clearly says not to. You could ask your doctor. The subject has come up before. The thread that contained information on the topic that I could quickly find is: https://www.franktalk.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=11868 This thread refers to Caverject another competing brand of alprostadil packaged in a similar proprietary package.
It has also come up in other threads but you'll have to look for them.

I have kept "opened" EDEX (as in, a prepared syringe) in the fridge for a day or two.
I suppose on the rare occasion it's ok, but shouldn't be used as a regular solution. As previously stated, check with your doctor. He'll probably say no, but oh well

Trying EDEX next. My Uro started my with TriMix, but it never was effective. So now he is writing me a scrip of EDEX. So hopefully it will be effective.

That surprises me. Of course I'm not a doctor so what do I know.

It is my understanding that it is more common for a doctor to start someone on Edex or Caverject, both of which are straight alprostadil (PGE-1) and saline and maybe a preservative. If that doesn't get the job don they will move on to tri-mix, which also contains alprostadil. It is more common now, I think, for doctors to skip the straight alprostadil (the Edex or Caverject) and go straight to tri-mix. I'm surprised he didn't just prescribe a tri-mix that had a much higher concentration of alprostadil. Maybe the pharmacy he uses doesn't do custom mixes.

I like the straight alprostadil. However, I get mine from a compounding pharmacy dispensed like tri-mix and often referred to as mono-mix. My pharmacy doesn't care what mix the doctor prescribes, they'll make it. I used to use the Edex but I had two issues with it. The main insurmountable problem was that my insurance didn't cover it and I couldn't afford it. The second was that, with the exception of traveling, I don't like the proprietary cartridges it's dispensed in. I like my alprostadil dispensed as compounded mono-mix much better. I can afford it.

Hopefully it will work well for you.

Good luck.
