Dry versus liquid

I need to order quadmix and of the two pharmacies I contacted one sells only the powder form ( fairly cheap to ship)and the other sells the liquid form only (much more expensive to ship)
Is there any difference between the two other than the fact that the dry has to br reconstituted ?
I assume the dry doesn't have to be kept refrig./frozen until reconstituted ? Can the dry be stored longer than the liquid? Any difference in potency ,etc ?

My experience has been with Mono-mix dispensed already reconstituted from a compounding pharmacy and Edex name brand dispensed dry in proprietary kits that include the saline in one time use units. The compounded Mono-mix has a short shelf life unless frozen but is inexpensive. The Edex has an extremely long shelf life and is expensive.

To try to answer your questions, it is my understanding that any difference would be caused by the inaccuracies or policies of the pharmacy. For example 10 mcg of alprostadil is 10 mcg of alprostadil no matter the form. The meds dispensed dry should, to my understanding, have a much longer shelf life. The meds dispensed already reconstituted will have a shorter shelf life and need to be refrigerated or frozen. The potency should theoretically be the same when dispensed.

I have no experience with dry tri-mix but it sounds like a good idea to me. However it will be up to you to make sure your meds stay sterile when you reconstitute them and that is important.
