FIRST Injection nervousness

Postby guytalk2018 » Thu Mar 07, 2019 3:07 pm

hi . Tomorrow i receive my 1st injection at the urol office. Im nervous about it. My concern is bleeding. this is creepy to say the least. I examined myself and i have LOTS and LOTS of mini VEINS all over!. Also, the left side has a big bulbous vein or artery (whatever it is).i know about the 2 and 10 or the 3 and 9 thing but with all the veins im hoping the uro doc is not abrupt with me and just rams it in. Also, being LEFT HANDED, i will find it difficult and very awkward sticking on the right side with all the syringe numbers upsidedown and whatever. I will address these issues tomorrow. Also , 1/2 is real long needle i feel. Is a 3/8 needle ok? Im medium, sized. Also, i dont know what formula strength im getting. Anyone witth these issues feel free to say hi, and anyone else. Thanks! good luck to all u guys. I keep y all posted.

Relax. The best scenario is getting the injection in the Dr.'s office. He/she is able to spot an injection site quite accurately. You'll find that any fear of pain is unfounded. Being that you'll get the 1st shot in the office the Dr. can dial in on the dosage and strength. I was left to do this on my own and I am still experimenting. I've been using a 1/2" needle and haven't had a problem yet. My tips are: Plump up, if possible, before injecting. Have plenty of lighting. If you use glasses this would be a good time to don them. Pull on the head(glans) to find a good, clear landing spot. Focus not on the poking but on the boner that will be in the very near future. I have found bleeding to be very minor to non existent. :D

You'll be fine.

The Doc isn't likely to hit a vein. I guess anything is possible but it isn't likely enough to be of any concern. It's not the end of the world even if he does. He's a professional. He doesn't want to hurt you.

Don't be nervous, be excited. You'll likely have the best boner you've had in ages. Be proud and walk out of there with both of your heads held high.

Being left handed won't be an issue. I shoot both sides and other than being less coordinated with my left hand it isn't an issue. Initially injecting with your off hand will be a bit more awkward but you'll get over that quickly.

I use a 5/16" needle. Lots of other guys use 1/2". It's very doable with either one. With me, I don't quite bury the 1/2" but with the 5/15" I bury all of the needle and indent my flesh with the plastic nub of the syringe. You'll figure it out.

Expect a few bumps in the road while figuring it all out. Just keep driving. The road will smooth out quickly.

Good luck.

An injection trick that works for me:

You don't have to be holding your thumb on the plunger when you're inserting the needle. That's awkward, especially for injecting on the left side (if you're right-handed.)

Instead, hold the barrel of the plunger like a pencil or a dart while you're inserting the needle into the penis. When you're in, then you can shift your thumb to the plunger position.

I remember the first few times I injected. My hand was shaking like crazy! It's natural to be nervous about this, but I promise you you will get over it. Best of luck!

As it relates to once a writer's comment, I pretty much always use my forefinger to depress the plunger. You shouldn't need the strength of your thumb to depress it if you're in the correct spot. It may take a few injections to perfect a technique that works for you.

thanks guys! went ok. Doc used a 27 gauge 1/2" needle. worked pretty well. kinda pinch feeling, not real pleasant lol. . he said he can order me a lighter gauge. very little blood and erection was ok, about a 7 1/2 out of 10 to me. good enough for learning experience and all that. Lasted about 30 min. Doc did 1/10th of ml, of 30/1/10.

Glad it worked out for you.

I went into this completely blind (read my other threads on this) so never had a doctor show me how to do it and started on with elephant tranquilizer strength. I was deathly afraid of the needle, and to make matters worse I have very bad hand tremors so imagine shaking out of control while trying to put a needle in your manhood. Needless to say, the pain is soooo little and the 2hr rock solid boner from just 0.05ml is worth the little prick you feel while injecting.

Been a while since your last post but you can get a box (100) of(thinner) 31ga X5/16 insulin syringes at Walmart for $32.00. Move up to 15 units and you should be fine.
