Do the forum a favor and answer the questions that are asked and stop spouting off about your fabulous Dr. and his VED use after implant surgery. If your surgeon does his job well and puts the correct size implant in you won't gain anything from a VED that is real only a visual of what is not, that goes away after the VED is removed. The question was about injections not implants try to focus.

My question had to do with pumping before and/or after injection. Not implant.

Yes Steve it was and I believe I answered your question but, we have close to 8000 members and I decided it would hurt anybody if I pointed out that the VED therapy is useful for everyone. Dave52, after the membership put you in your place the last time you mouthed off at me, I thought you were gone for good...

Apparently there was an article in the New England Journal of Medicine that supported VED therapy pre and post implant and through any treatment for ED. Dr. Kramer, specifically, told me that he doesn't think it helps but it certainly does not hurt. I know different. I am walking, breathing proof that it works. My pre and post surgery pictures are remarkable proof of the gains.

The idea is that you pump just to where it is still comfortable BUT, one more pump would be uncomfortable. Leave it there for 30 minutes Twice a day is preferred but at least once a day. These are the instructions from Dr. Paul Perito. Dr. Brock told me to pump just to where it starts to be uncomfortable and leave it for 5 minutes. Do this 3 to 5 times a day after pumping the implant to the max. :D

was to a thread titled "Pump with injection" in the Sub-forum titled "Injections". IMHO, it appeared off topic, confusing, at best, and ultimately caused the unnecessary derailment of the thread. A thread that only asked a simple question, on a single topic in the appropriate sub-forum.

I will reiterate, condense (well maybe not) and hopefully clarify my previous layman (non-medical professional) response to the original question. If you decide to try using a VED after doing an injection, be very careful and watch out for hematoma at the injection site. I experience that issue if I try using a VED after an injection and the hematoma occurs rather quickly with me. Ask your doctor and follow his/her advice. I personally haven't read any professional literature or heard first hand any medical professional recommend using a VED immediately after an injection.

Larry, I recognize that you are the moderator and can post what, when and where you please. I'm done here.

For a short while I thought there may be hope for you but once again you have proven just how inept you are as a moderator.

For the original poster, let me share my experience. I have ED that is probably partially due to a venous leak. I find that I get my best erections with a combination of techniques: 1) 25 mg of Viagra an hour before lovemaking, 2) Trimix injection just before (8 units of 30-5-50 Trimix) 3) VED and then constriction ring after some initial foreplay. I use a fairly large constriction ring and I find my erection stays warm, indicating that I don't have to worry about the 30 minute limit. By using the VED about 20 to 30 minutes after injection, I find I have never had problems with bleeding or hematoma associated with using the VED. As has been mentioned by one of the posters, I keep the VED pressure difference low so I don't feel any pain from the pumping. I hope my experience is useful for you.

I still haven't bought a pump, hesitating about the options ... But I'd be afraid to pump after injection. However, i am curious if pumping up a bit BEFORE injection can yield better results by giving you a larger area to hit with the needle?

I have been pumping prior to injection, but I'm using more and more Trimix (up to 20 units of 30-1-10) to achieve a less than desirable erection. I'm going to try injecting, putting pressure on the injection site for at least 2 minutes and pumping 20 to 30 minutes afterwards to see if the result is better. Updates to come.

I never tried 60s_surfer's method of waiting a half hour and then pumping. It seems like if it wasn't erect from the meds, the meds would leak out by the half hour mark and serve no purpose. But hey, if it works, then I guess not. I guess, at least in his case, by the half hour mark the injection puncture has sealed up well enough to withstand the vacuum he uses. I always tried the vacuum not too long after injecting. I'm doing OK with my current routine but I'll keep the 60s_surfer method in my arsenal for later use if needed.

In the past several guys have mentioned that they pump before injecting because it makes an easier target. That didn't work well for me for various reasons. But again, if it works for you then great. Go with what works for you. To my layman non-medical professional mind I see no reason not to give it a try.

I think the VED pump is a handy thing to have around for a lot of ED sufferers for a variety of potential purposes. But it will be a waste of money for some. If you can afford to risk the expense then go for it. Some guys do fine with the cheap novelty pumps. I've tried both. To me the medical grade pumps are over priced but still worth the premium, but they are definitely over priced.

MrMann, have you considered having the alprostadil (PGE-1) component cranked up a good amount?
