Another first timer

Postby dgold21 » Thu Feb 21, 2019 12:55 am

So I injected last evening for the first time...

52 years old, diagnosed prostate cancer last August, Gleason 4+3, had HIFU treatment in early December, working my way back to normalcy. Since I got the OK to resume relations with my smokin' hot and highly sexual girlfriend, I've only been maybe 50% successful. Pills haven't helped, tried all 4, and the side effects get me. I can't make her continue to wait on me, as patient as she's been, I know she needs more than what I've been able to provide in recent months.

Received my first vial of 30/1/25 trimix yesterday, and did a test run at home (alone) last night at the low end of what they told me, .1 ml or 10 units on the syringe. Whoa. Six hour boner. I was halfway out the door twice during the night on my way to the ER, but I worked on it, 120mg Sudafed, exercise, cold packs and warm bath...it started to deflate a little then would go back to 95% a few different times. Finally felt comfortable going to bed about 2:30am. Going to cut back to .05 on my next try and see what happens.

Anyways, have been reading a lot here, and that's what pushed me to go ahead and try it. Great info here, thank you. I know part of my problem is psychological, regardless of the prostate treatment, because I've been putting a lot of pressure on myself to take care of her lately, and I have some anxiety. Hopefully this will help me push past it and keep moving forward in my recovery.

One question though, is the solution supposed to freeze solid? It definitely adds to the inconvenience to have to thaw the vial each time I want to draw. Will probably pre-fill several syringes and keep them in the fridge.

Next hurdle is telling her about it. Don't want to try and hide it...

First of all Welcome to the forum.

I'm not a doctor or medical professional of any kind. I'm going to be doing some speculating in trying to answer your question. Remember to always ask your doctor and follow his/her advice or instructions.

It is my understanding that most guys freeze their mix. There are variables that will effect the freezing process. First off, there is the solution the drugs are rehydrated in. The higher the sodium content the lower the freezing temperature. Secondly, some stronger mixes are at the maximum concentration that one or more of the ingredients will stay in suspension and not crystallize or precipitate out. Those mixes with ingredients nearing the maximum that can be held in suspension may have a tendency to crystalize when held too low a temperature. I'm om mono-mix or straight alprostadil. It doesn't freeze readily but can freeze if stored at the very back of my freezer. My mix comes in 10 1m viales. Even if frozen solid it thaws rapidly at room temperature.

My trimix drill:

Keep the vial in the freezer. Thaw it once a week. Fill as many syringes as you expect to use for the coming week. Put the vial back in the freezer. Put the syringes in the fridge. (They'll be fine.)

So my second try was at .08 ml and there seemed to be no difference. Most likely because I stayed at the girlfriend's house and couldn't do most countermeasures aside from sudafed to make it go down...I was able to wake her up and use it again at the 6 hour mark and it started to soften not long after that...probably a total of over 7 hours hard. But there was definite discomfort over the last few hours, she even asked me what was wrong with me because I was moving around in bed so much (trying to minimize discomfort).

Last night I went down to .05 ml and it was much more manageable. Not quite as hard before stimulation, but great hardness once stimulation began. It started going down after 3.5-4 hours (I did take sudafed). So I think I will stay at the .04-.05 dose for now and see how it goes.

I should get some smaller syringes like the .3 ml size to make it easier to pull that dose. Should I stick with the 30 gauge 1/2" needle? That's what they sent but I know nothing about needles...wondering what most here use?

I currently use around 8 to 12 units. I use the .3 syringes and find them much better than the larger volume syringes.

Third and fourth tries were 6(ish) units...still lasting longer than needed, even with sudafed...beyond 4 hours total before it started its descent. Sunday night my member was aching for the last couple hours...might be due to the fact that I injected three days straight?

Ordered the .3 syringes, will allow me to get better measurements at this low dose.

You aren't supposed to do that. Don't do it on a regular basis.

Ya, three days straight is against all the recommendations I've heard. Not more than once every 24 hours, and only 3 times a week is what I was told.

However, I use about 10X that amount for success. So you have that going for you.

I knew it wasn't recommended, but had read others had done it without issue...and it was a rare occasion for us to spend three straight nights together, and after next weekend I won't be seeing her for a few weeks...trying to make the most of it I guess. Will try to heed the recommendation more seriously going forward. In the meantime still hoping my natural stiffies improve and I can stay out of my head. This has been the only surefire solution to psychogenic ED for me so far, but I don't want to become dependent on it.

Went down to .04 this morning, and without taking any sudafed, it was almost 4 hours at attention until it was back down to a chub. At that low of a dose, and considering my 30/1/25 mix, which of the three ingredients should most likely be reduced in order to keep the effect but shorten the duration?
