The doctor said because it has been a long time since I had a real erection there must be considerable fibrosis. That is what causes the pain. He said over time and the stretching from the injections, the pain may subside.

What has been your experience?

I think that MOST of us has experienced discomfort as we increase the number of pumps we use. After a while you are pumping more and there is no discomfort. Trust me, in due course you will be big, hard, horney and pain free. :)

If you're talking alprostsdil (PGE1) pain, it is my understanding that in a fair percentage of men who experience it, it does diminish or stop over time. That was my experience also. I've never heard the reasoning given by your doctor for either it's cause or resolution. I question his explanation. But then I'm not a doctor and you should question my reasoning.
